125/1, little promise when eighth of 9 in maiden at Beverley (7.4f, firm) on debut 32 days ago, slowly away. Lots more required.
€67,000 yearling, Intello gelding. Closely related to useful 7f winner Ella Diva. Appeals on pedigree so interesting newcomer, especially if market speaks in his favour. Yard also have Yagan in here.
14/1, left his debut form well behind when running-on third of 14 in novice at Bath (5.7f, good to firm) 11 days ago. May do better still now up in trip so one for the shortlist.
Fair form when third in 7f novices at Haydock and York, 11/10 but no extra late on latter occasion 56 days ago. Sets a good standard here so the one to beat for yard among the winners.
€55,000 yearling, No Nay Never colt. Half-brother to useful 9f-11f winner Westadora. Dam unraced. Yard can ready them and bred to be no back number so newcomer warrants plenty of respect.
€115,000 yearling, Wootton Bassett colt. Brother to 9.5f winner Qurtaj. Dam unraced. Trainer’s newcomers always command respect so worth monitoring in the betting.
Anjaal gelding. Half-brother to several winners, notably useful 1m duo Chips O'Toole and Presumido. Dam 9f-11f winner. Not without interest on paper but yard not renowned for its debut winners.
800 gns yearling, Helmet gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful 9f Castello Aragonese. Dam 9f-15f winner. In good hands but stable are not noted for debutant juvenile winners.
22/1, encouraging sixth of 10 in novice at Kempton (7f) on debut 26 days ago. Sure to improve but he has plenty to find with the forecast favourite.
€62,000 yearling, Australia gelding. Half-brother to several winners, notably useful 1m pair Manjeer and Tribal Path. Derby entrant who is in excellent hands so worth looking out for in the market.
Marcel filly. Dam unraced out of once-raced half-sister to smart stayer First Charter. Newcomer is not without interest on pedigree so another who is worth a second look.
Last of 11 in novice here (5.1f, 250/1) on debut 8 days ago, slowly away. Significantly up in trip with lots to find.
Forecasts
Jadoomi (4/6), Kayfast Warrior (5/1), Naamoos (13/2), Wurlitzer (17/2), Eloquent Arthur (11/1), Yagan (18/1), Carpentier (28/1), Charter By Time (50/1), Watchthisnow (66/1), Westshield (100/1), Admirable Lad (200/1), Iesha (300/1)
JADOOMI sets the bar high after twice finishing third in good novices at Haydock and York so is taken to open his account here for the in-form Crisford yard. The market will no doubt reveal plenty about the seven newcomers on show, but Naamoos, Yagan and Kayfast Warrior appeal as the most likely candidates to trouble the favourite.
- JADOOMI (FR)
