Winning return at Thirsk (6f, good to soft) but proved to be a disappointment both starts since, going with little fluency on each occasion. Cheekpieces again the headgear of choice back at 6f.
Looked a shade unfortunate not to come out on top at Chelmsford (6f) on penultimate start but efforts either side on turf have been underwhelming. Not the easiest to weigh up at present.
Finished runner-up on 3 of his 7 starts as a juvenile and better for return over 5f here when noted staying on in to fifth at Redcar (5f) in June. Shade disappointing over C&D next time, however.
Last of 16 on sole 2019 start and largely disappointing upon joining new yard this summer. However, bit more like it at Ayr (6f) from reduced mark last month. Now his task is to build on that.
Produced a much more well-rounded display when shedding the maiden tag at Pontefract (6f) last month. Returns to softer ground now but that may not prove his limit.
Dual winner on turf last summer who has been rather up and down this time round. Step back in right direction when fourth at Yarmouth (6f, soft) last time and he's well treated if able to back that up
Lightly-raced maiden who, on the back of being gelded possibly still needed the run at Leicester (6f) last month. In good hands and this should reveal more.
Landed back-to-back heavy ground contests last autumn and best effort of present campaign when 1 length fourth of 9 at Yarmouth (7f) in August. Each-way claims with conditions fine.
Enjoying a productive campaign, suited by the overly-strong gallop when going in again at Goodwood (6f) 2 starts back Latest Southwell effort was disappointing and bounce back called for.
Fair gelding who only needed to match previous best to land a weak Bath novice (5f) last month. More on his plate back in a handicap from revised mark.
Sharper for return when making all in determined style at Thirsk (6f) in June. Proved to be a disappointment both starts since though, trailing in last of 11 at Doncaster (6f) in July.
Finished nearer last than first both outings this term but shaped as if back in form at Beverley latest, denied a run over 1f out and finishing with running left. On a handy mark and claims back at 6f
Not without promise in maiden/minor events and found jolt of improvement for the switch to handicaps on return at Redcar (6f) relishing the heavy ground. 9 lb higher now but he may improve further.
Landed back-to-back 6f handicaps at Nottingham last summer but yet to truly build on the promise of his Ripon return effort in 5 subsequent starts. Mark continues to slide at least.
Forecasts
Viva Voce (9/2), Ugo Gregory (5/1), Dream Together (7/1), Bring The Money (15/2), Society Queen (9/1), Commanche Falls (12/1), Stallone (12/1), Al Qahwa (12/1), Rasheeq (14/1), Madrinho (20/1), Kapono (22/1), Vardon Flyer (22/1), Gullane One (28/1), Allen A Dale (100/1)
VIVA VOCE was sent off at a double-figure price but made no mistake in making his handicap debut a winning one at Redcar (6f) last week, relishing the underfoot conditions. That hasn't gone unnoticed by the handicapper but he's a low-mileage sort and may well have more to offer. Society Queen caught the eye at Beverley recently and is feared, along with Dream Together and Rasheeq.
