Lacked application when well held on first outing on turf at Newmarket in June so no surprise to see blinkers added now returning to AW after a short break.

Temperamental sort but did notch a C&D win in March. Arrives fit from some recent runs over hurdles (third on penultimate start, well held latest). Oisin Murphy a positive booking.

Forecasts

Sea Of Marmoon (5/2), Crimson King (3/1), Helian (4/1), Exmoor Beast (4/1), Keep It Brief (5/1), Cuttin' Edge (13/2), Voi (7/1), Rotherwick (8/1), Looktothelight (12/1), Ilhabela Fact (18/1), Rakematiz (33/1)

Verdict

SEA OF MARMOON is building up a pretty solid record in handicaps and is selected to notch a second career win under William Buick. Helian has a win and second to his name in polytrack handicaps on his last 2 starts so rates an obvious danger. Rotherwick is on a long losing run but he's more than capable of playing a part off this mark and completes the shortlist.

  1. SEA OF MARMOON
  2. HELIAN (IRE)
  3. ROTHERWICK (IRE)
