Needs no introduction around here five-time C&D winner who has now slipped back below his last winning mark. Kept ticking over of late (forced too strong a pace on last Flat start), poor over hurdles last time, could well bounce back.
Returned from wind surgery last time at Haydock but travelled poorly and faded out of the contest quickly. Dual course winner (slips below his last winning mark), has won over this trip here, not straightforward though and best handled with care.
Fair maiden handicapper, has on occasions looked as though he would be more effective in handicaps than he has been. Finds this trip stretching his suspect stamina, 1m being the furthest he really wants to go, well beaten over this trip last time.
Successful over this trip and further he's much more highly-rated on the AW than on turf (big differential between his marks). Has run creditably of late on turf but will appreciate a return to the AW, often a free-going sort.
Frustrating sort who often flatters to deceive and did so again last time at Hamilton (9.2f) in a first-time hood despite splitting a pair of unexposed 3yo's. Looks hard to win with despite being off a mark now, overall record stands at 0-15.
Won his penultimate start at Lingfield (10f) alighting on a perfect scenario in a strongly-run race off a 7lb lower mark. Didn't have things go as much his way last time (probably remains in form), will once again need a gallop to perform.
Modest maiden who hasn't as yet made any strides forward since stepping into handicaps his two efforts in this sphere separated by a ten-month break. First attempt on the AW stepping up in trip, stamina will be tested.
Modest form so far in minor events/maidens; hard to draw many positives from her efforts so far for all that she's bred to do better. Hopes now pinned on trying handicaps for the first time, the booking of Silvestre De Sousa catches the eye.

Offered little on his turf/handicap debut at Newmarket (12f) and appeared to be found wanting again when last seen over the same trip. Drops in trip returned to AW although his mark still looks a stiff one based on his body of work so far.
Modest form so far having been well held on AW/turf in minor events at up to 10f, steps into handicaps for the first time returning to the AW (first time since debut). Should do better in this sphere although her initial mark doesn't look generous.
On a long losing run (last win was over two years ago), still looks to be trying to find some form of late. Fared poorly when last seen at Leicester (11.8f), makes little appeal here with some more in-form performer in opposition.
Winner here over 8.7f his winning form is rather sparse with his two starts for this yard being well below-par (took a strong hold on both occasions). Usual hood left off last time is still missing, often races freely, not one to create much interest

Not a particularly appealing betting contest with several moribund profiles amongst the runners. However, COSTELLO is still relatively lightly-raced and his rather below-par run last time came in a race that didn’t quite work out for him and he’s better judged on his previous start which gives him a sound chance here. Notion Of Time has shown nothing so far but this step into handicaps and the booking of Silvestre De Sousa look to be catalysts that could well provide a step forward market confidence would be an extra bonus. Famous Dynasty could be in the shake-up if gets a decent pace to aim at with Swinging Eddie and Celtic Artisan two others to consider.
