Unraced Mehmas filly bought for 17,000 gns at the sales as a yearling. Half-sister to multiple winner Acolyte and Amplify and is worth a check in the market on debut.
Unraced Pearl Secret filly cost connections 12,000 gns at the breeze-up sales earlier this month. Wide draw to overcome if she is to make a winning debut.
Placed second on both previous starts most recently in a 14 runner good ground novice event at Thirsk at the start of this month. Strong claims of getting off the mark at the third time of asking.
Good 2L second in a Chelmsford made over this trip last month but reared in the stalls when finishing well beaten on turf debut at Bath (5f, good) subsequently.
Showed promise when finishing runner-up in a 6f maiden at Chepstow (good) on debut at the start of this month. Well beaten in a valuable event at Newbury (5f, good) subsequently and better expected on her return to this distance.
Well beaten seventh in a 6f novice event at Ripon (good) on debut earlier this month. Top jockey in the saddle and interesting to see how she fares.
Unraced Gutaifan out of an unraced mare. Half-sister to a winner in Italy but she is probably best watched on her first racecourse appearance.
Improved on debut effort when finishing third in a 5f maiden at Bath (good) three weeks ago. Likely more needed if she is to take this event.
Unraced Mehmas filly out of a mare who was victorious over 6f. Was a cheap 5,000 gns purchase at the breeze-up sales last month however and others hold more obvious claims.
Struggled in two starts so far including when 14L seventh on the all-weather at Lingfield earlier this month. Others hold more obvious claims.
Unraced Adaay filly purchased for £1,500 as a yearling last December. Dam placed on the Flat and she is probably best watched on debut.
Decent fourth over an extended 5f at Bath (good) on debut and acquitted herself well when 13th in a valuable big field event at Newbury (5f, good) subsequently. Interesting stepping up in distance.
Unraced Mayson filly purchased for £2,500 at the sales in August last year. Full-sister to dual winner Melonade but the draw could have been kinder on racecourse debut.
Forecasts
Susucaru (11/8), Kim Wexler (11/4), Cuban Breeze (5/1), Tattoo (11/1), Daphne May (20/1), Girl's Got Rhythm (20/1), Hemmsa (22/1), The Queens Ladies (22/1), Belgium (28/1), Moonshiner (28/1), Clady (50/1), Star Of Bahrain (66/1), Arlecchino's Shade (125/1)
SUSUCARU has shown good form on both starts to date and she is taken to get off the mark at the third time of asking by registering a victory in this fillies' maiden event. The selection can get the better of her rivals here with Kim Wexler capable of claiming second spot on her return to this distance while Tattoo can put a disappointing effort last time out behind her to take third.
- Susucaru
- Kim Wexler
- Tattoo
