Just fair form in qualifying, but much improved when beating Hyanna by 4½L over C&D on handicap bow. Ran poorly on only subsequent start, bit that form has worked out, and interesting that connections are persevering.
Won a provincial maiden for Pascal Bary last year, but she has been well held in a couple of hurdle races since joining current yard, and hasn't fared well enough back on turf the last twice to make her of betting interest.
Won her first two starts this summer, and bounced back from a poor run when third of 5 to stablemate Subjectivist in Listed Glasgow Stakes at Hamilton last time. Should be thereabouts with a repeat, and yard's runners tend to thrive here.
Turf winner on good to soft (7f) last year, and has since won two fillies' handicaps over 1m3f/1m4½f on AW. Not seen to best effect over further at Sandown last time, and has each-way claims granted an honest gallop.
Dam won the Lillie Langtry Stakes here in these colours, and this filly improved when ½L second of 6 to A Star Above on handicap debut at Leicester over this trip recently. Unexposed, and one to consider, for all she's now 6lb higher.
Won her maiden over 1¼m here last month, and improved further when ¾L second of 7 to Be More on handicap debut at Sandown last time. Can rate higher, although stamina for this trip isn't assured.
Scored on the ice at St Moritz in February, and produced a career best to win at Lingfield last time by 2½L from Helian. Possibly failed to stay an extended 1m5f at Newbury last time, and now tried in a hood for the first time.
Best effort this year when a keeping-on third over the extended 1m at Hamilton on penultimate start, but below form there last time. Longer trip may help now, but she has a bit to prove all told.
Dam stayed 1½m, and this filly was gradually progressive at up to 1m3f on AW earlier in the year. Just lasted at Kempton when last seen, and back from a break now, but not easily dismissed.
Has improved markedly for switch to turf at around this trip of late, winning a pair of handicaps at Haydock in clear-cut fashion. Climbing the weights, and up in class now, but easy to imagine her still a step of the handicapper, and shortlisted.
Won off a 6lb lower mark at Doncaster (1m) last month, and has improved to be placed twice since over 1¼m. Has chances if this further step up in trip draws out a bit more from her, although not bred for it.
Outclassed her rivals to win a maiden over this trip at Catterick early in the month, but tailed off on handicap debut last time, and not easy to fancy on the back of that effort.
Forecasts
Tulip Fields (10/3), Asiaaf (4/1), Dancing Approach (4/1), Au Clair De Lune (4/1), Believe In Love (11/1), Time Voyage (16/1), Chartered (16/1), Sashenka (20/1), Sly Minx (50/1), Sarvi (66/1), Sister Midnight (80/1), Torbellino (80/1)
Some improving fillies on show, with the best of them looking to be TULIP FIELDS, who was a good third to a smart stablemate in the Glasgow Stakes last time. Dancing Approach is up in class looking for her hat-trick, but could still be ahead of the assessor, and is respected, while top weight Chartered won over C&D on her handicap bow last summer, and is much better than she showed on her only subsequent start,
- Tulip Fields
- Dancing Approach
- Chartered
