Confirmed the promise shown on his Newmarket debut (6f, good) with a win at Chelmsford (7f, AW) earlier this month, when he made all. Penalised for that, but looked to have more up his sleeve than the official margin, so is a likely contender again.
Didn't show a great deal on debut, but made a marked step up on that when scoring at Chepstow (7f, good) last time, making all and hanging left there. Should be more to come from him and is entitled to consideration under his penalty.
5,000gns yearling; half-brother to 5f turf 2yo/7f AW winner Islay Mist. Dam was a 6f-7f winner, including at two. Trainer 12% with his 2yos over five seasons, but this gelding will need to be better than his half-brother to win this on debut.
50-1 chance on debut at Newbury (6f, good to soft) earlier in the month, so considering that, you'd have to be pleasantly surprised by his closing 2¾L fourth. Needs to improve on that promising start, but can't write him off now.
15-2 chance on debut at Wolverhampton (7f, AW) earlier in the month, when he came there to win his race but was headed close home. That was promising and if he can build on it now switched to turf, he'd have claims here.
€52,000 yearling; brother to two winners, the better being Guaranteed (7f-1m2f, inc. 2yo Group 3). Closely related to 1m1f-1m4f winner New Direction, out of a 6f-1m maiden. Represents top yard that is 20% with 2yos over five seasons. Interesting.
First foal of a 1m4f winning half-sister to US 1m4f Listed winner Kissable. Trainer is 18% with his 2yos over five seasons. Trip looks a good starting point, so check the market for any clues as to the chance of this newcomer.
52,000gns yearling; closely related to US 1m-1m½f winner Hope Cross; half-brother to four other winners, the best being 1m 2yo Reckoning. Dam 1m winner herself. Another interesting newcomer from a top yard.
€50,000 yearling; half-brother to nine winners, several of them smart, and one a 2yo Group 1 sprint scorer. Dam 5f winner who was officially rated 95 at her best. Catches the eye on pedigree and top stable can have debut winners. Very interesting.
Well held on debut at Redcar (7f, good to firm) last month, and again when switched to Tapeta at Newcastle (7f) since then. That was a step in the right direction, but can't make a case for her in this field.

A really interesting opener. Final Voyage and Henrik both have winning form under their belts and should remain very competitive under their penalties. Farasi Lane and Maker Of Light should both be more closely involved if stepping up on promising first efforts, while Farhan is another of interest. Mark Johnston's newcomer Gear Up makes for good reading on paper and can probably go well, but possibly better still might be Richard Fahey's debutant STATE PATROL, who is from a prolific family and could be worth siding with on debut.
