From an excellent family, and he looked out of the ordinary when winning a 6f Windsor novice by 2½L on last month's debut. Penalty asks more of him, but respected nonetheless.
Beaten ¾L into third on debut at Newmarket (6f), and seemed unsuited by drop to 5f when well held in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot. Claims if that effort is ignored.
Dandy Man half-brother to 2-y-o 6f winner Oba Hara. Cost £40,000 as a yearling, but chances are this gelding will benefit from the experience. Yard 5-68 with 2-y-o's here in last five years.
Dawn Approach half-brother to 1m winner Shamlahar out of a 2-y-o 5f winner who went on to score over 6f in Listed company. Yard has had a 20/1 2-y-o debutant winner from just two such runners to date.
Showed a bit more than on debut when 7L fifth of 13 to Cairn Gorm in a 6f maiden at Windsor last time, but very hard to see him turn the tables, even on 7lb better terms.
By Hot Streak out of a winning sister to Prix de L'Abbaye winner Move In Time. Too green to show much on debut, but likely to be much better in time, and not ignored entirely.
By Maxios out of a 1¼m winner, herself a daughter of high-class racemare Shiva, from an excellent family. Pedigree suggests he has a future, although possibly over further.
By Kodiac, and the first foal of an unraced mare by Bated Breath. Fetched €36,000 as a yearling, and yard is 2-29 with 2-y-o's here in recent years.
By Twilight Son out of a fairly useful maiden, herself closely related to Listed 5½f winner Sabratah and Group 3 1m winner Kick On. Veteran trainer can ready one, and market usually a reliable guide with his newcomers.
Equiano half-brother to French 2-y-o 4½f/5½f winner Faslen and useful 1m winner Mujrayaat. Yard 3-21 with juveniles here of late, and this colt looks more than capable of figuring on debut.
Full-brother to 5f-7f winner Rodin and half-brother to smart 2-y-o 7f winner Starscope and useful 1m winner Solar Magic. Represents a powerful yard with a solid record here, and one of the more interesting newcomers on paper.
Belardo half-brother to a local Group 1 winner in Russia (3rd in Russian Derby). Quite a cheap purchase, but sire has made a good start, and not ignored with a top jockey booked.
Strongly fancied when third to The Lir Jet on his debut over an extended 5f at Yarmouth, but failed to progress when well behind that rival in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot. Claims if back to debut form dropped in class.
3,000 gns half-brother to 2yo 1m winners Cirencester and Paparazzi. Never in the hunt on debut at Kempton, and trainer quickly reaches for headgear.

Forecasts
Cairn Gorm (2/1), Twilight Calls (4/1), Nelson Gay (9/2), Astimegoesby (13/2), Yuan Prince (11/1), Peerless (20/1), Soldier Lions (20/1), Dandys Derriere (22/1), Flaireon (22/1), Imperial Dawn (25/1), Marsabit (28/1), Maker Of Light (28/1), Four Clubs (33/1), Sepah (33/1), Farasi Lane (50/1), Spirit Of Rowdown (250/1)
A tricky start, with two of those holding stronger claims needing to bounce back from poor runs at Royal Ascot. Of that pair, Nelson Gay holds stronger claims than Astimesgoesby, but perhaps the safest choice is the penalised CAIRN GORM, who did it nicely at Windsor and will improve. Maker of Light and Twilight Calls make some appeal among the newcomers. and the market could shed more light on the contest.
