260,000 gns yearling, Night of Thunder colt. Shaped with plenty promise on debut at Yarmouth (7f, good to firm) early this month when third behind two promising sorts; improvement likely and big chance.
Price rose to £80,000 as a yearling and he outran odds of 66-1 on debut over this trip on Polytrack here this month when fourth behind highly-promising Ransom; could have similar aspirations or slightly more now.
Son of Canford Cliffs already gelded prior to this month's debut at Newbury (1m, good) where he was only beaten 3½L into sixth of ten despite an SP of 80-1. Drop in trip not certain to be in his favour.
His dam is a relative of the useful 1m2f winner Auld Burns and Kempton debut over 7f in October suggested he'll be better served tackling middle distances in time. Returns from a break and best watched on turf bow.
Didn't match market expectations on debut at Wolverhampton (6f, AW) in December but much more like it this month on turf bow at Haydock (7f, good) when just collared late on (third has gone well since). Claims once more.
Cost 90,000 gns as a yearling and from respected source; 33-1 in both runs so far but shaped with promise in fifth over 7f on the AW here last week (may struggle to turn things around with runner-up Grande Rumore).
Inexpensive daughter of Cable Bay; hasn't shown enough in two runs at Kempton either side of a 225-day layoff to warrant support on turf bow back up in distance.
Well held 66-1 chance on debut this month at Kempton and likely to be suited by further test of stamina before long; watching brief for now.
Cost £200,000 as a yearling; ninth foal from the 1m German winner Stravina; half-sister to six winners; 16-1 when struggling to make an impact on debut at Yarmouth (6f, firm) last August; more demanded back from break.
Related to a sprint winner in Birdie Queen and half-sister to mile winner Ocean Air; others bred to be a bit quicker and she might find this an uphill struggle on her debut.

There was plenty of merit in the opening effort from ADDITIONAL when close third at Yarmouth. The front two headed to Royal Ascot last week and, with improvement expected, Martyn Meade's 260,000 gns son of Night Of Thunder could be hard to stop this evening with the champion jockey up. Discover Dubai ran into a smart newcomer on debut and should do better than the fourth-place he attained there while Afro Blue, Mr Beau Blue, Grande Rumore and Vape all have plenty scope for improvement in an open heat.
