Well beaten 29L last of 12 when making his debut in a 5f maiden at Newcastle at the start of this month. More needed if he's to take this event.

Showed ability in finishing 4¾L sixth in a decent looking 5f novice contest at Newmarket (good-to-firm) when making his debut earlier this month. One to note switched to the AW.

Shaped as if he'd improve for the experience when finishing 5L seventh on debut at Newmarket (5f, good-to-firm) at the start of this month. Worth a check in the market on this occasion.

Ran well when finishing 2½L last of four in a 5f maiden when making his debut at Yarmouth (good) earlier this month. Improvement likely and market support would be notable.

Improved on debut effort when finishing 4¼L second in a similar race to this over C&D last week. Likely more needed if she is to get off the market in this race however.

Slowly away prior to finishing 18½L last of seven in a 6f novice event at Haydock (good-to-soft) when making her debut two weeks ago. Others hold more obvious claims. Also engaged 16:30 Ripon Saturday.

Forecasts

Gussy Mac (5/6), Aussie Stormer (2/1), Rooster (5/2), Swooper (5/1), Plum Run (12/1), Velocistar (50/1), Brave Sir Robin (100/1)

Verdict

AUSSIE STORMER ran well on debut and with the form of that event working out well he looks capable of getting off the mark at the second time of asking in this novice event. The selection is taken to get the better of Gussy Mac who ran a decent race at Newmarket earlier this month on his first career start while third place can go to Rooster who finished one place behind him that day.
  1. Aussie Stormer
  2. Gussy Mac
  3. Rooster
