Progressed at Meydan this winter, winning two Group 2 races for fillies before finishing runner-up in the Group 1 Jebel Hatta. Finished behind Queen Power on return at Newmarket though and she's got to concede a penalty to that filly again here.

Listed winner as a juvenile but well beaten at Kempton on return and no obvious signs she's up to this level.

Listed winner as a juvenile but signs she hadn't trained on last year and beaten a long way on her return at Kempton. Wears first-time cheekpieces.

French Listed winner who justified favouritism in a conditions race at Wolverhampton when last seen. Has looked progressive of late and shapes like this extra furlong will suit at times; not ruled out.

Looked an exciting filly when winning each of her first two starts and ran with credit when third in the Coronation Stakes here last year. Beaten favourite next time and struggled at Sandown latest but open to improvement at four.

Slight surprise winner of a Group 3 at Sandown (1m) last year and posted another creditable effort in defeat when fourth of nine in a Newmarket Group 1 latest; lightly raced and may be capable of better this year; stiff finish here should suit.

Progressive as a three-year-old and made it four wins from five career starts in a Kempton Listed race 13 days ago, getting the better of a dual Group 1 winner. Leading claims with more progress likely and yard have been in good form.

Gained back-to-back wins in handicap company last year and has run with credit at Pattern level since but this is a far tougher test and she's more exposed than several of these.

Listed winner at three and ran well when fourth in the Ribblesdale last year. Doesn't always settle well in her races but a drop in trip could help on that front and she did well to finish runner-up at Newmarket 10 days ago (Magic Lily third).

Has won three of her six starts in France including a Listed race last year and runner-up on return at Longchamp. Needs a sizable step forward from that if she's going to play a part here up in class though.

Forecasts

Queen Power (3/1), Jubiloso (3/1), Nazeef (10/3), Miss O Connor (9/2), Lavender's Blue (11/2), Magic Lily (17/2), Wasmya (10/1), Agincourt (28/1), Posted (66/1), Invitational (66/1), Iconic Choice (125/1)

Verdict

Magic Lily's Group 1 Jebel Hatta form is probably the strongest on offer here but the mare had no obvious excuses when behind QUEEN POWER at Newmarket on return and Sir Michael Stoute's filly didn't get it all her own way that day. The daughter of Shamardal looks as if she could improve for a drop in trip and the trainer often gets them to improve at four and five. The unbeaten Miss O Connor could be a threat to all if the ground turns soft/heavy.
  1. Queen Power
