Good juvenile form includes 7f Listed win at Longchamp last July prior to twice finishing second in Group 3 company. Won Listed 1m event at Meydan in February and sets a decent standard for stable going well since the return.
Salisbury 6f novice stakes winner then failed to handle quick ground when last of 8 in Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury. Solid third in heavy going Group 3 at HQ end of campaign and has had wind surgery since then. Yard already off the mark.
Won Pontefract 6f last May then showed fair form in good nurseries prior to finishing a distant fourth to Pinatubo in Group 1 at Curragh and fourth again in Group 3 at Newmarket (7f). Led to 2f out at Newcastle on recent return and drops back 1f.
Won three times over 6f at two and was good second in Group 3 Sirenia Stakes 6f at Kempton last September. Showed little in two AW start earlier this year but better show not ruled out now returning to turf off falling mark.
Stable companion of Oh Purple Reign. Won over this trip at Chester and Newbury as a juvenile and second in Listed event at Newbury. Looked in need of the run when last of 14 on return to the fray last week in Kempton 1m Listed contest.
Lope De Vega colt who won twice last August over 7f before coming unstuck in heavy ground Group 3 contest at Newmarket in November. Type to progress this term and top yard always respected.
4-7 last season including wins in two 7f nurseries, the latter at HQ in October off a mark of 90. Showed up for long way last week on return before tiring and should be fit and ready now. Looks set to give a good account of himself off 1lb lower..
Won two out of four starts last term, both at 6f prior to finishing fourth to Tomfre on handicap bow at Newmarket in October on soft ground. Only 4lb better with rival for nearly three lengths but better surface may help her cause.
Forecasts
Ascension (5/2), Well Of Wisdom (9/2), Surf Dancer (9/2), Tomfre (5/1), Impressor (11/2), Oh Purple Reign (10/1), Monoski (16/1), Sesame Birah (40/1)
WELL OF WISDOM looks up to giving weight and a beating to his rivals if returning in peak form. He did well last term and scored again this winter in Listed company in Dubai. There are plenty of dangers including Surf Dancer, who won a couple last term and looks the type to progress this season, and Monoski, fourth in a Group 1 last autumn. Tomfre ran well for a long way last week on his first start of the campaign, while Oh Purple Reign looks the better of the Hannon-trained pair.
- Well Of Wisdom
- Surf Dancer
- Oh Purple Reign
