Decent maiden who went close at Ascot 7f last July then failed by just a length when good fourth in valuable Doncaster Sales race. Failed to run to form when well beaten fifth in Group 3 final start but sets a good standard here on return.
36,000 euros yearling by Brazen Beau out of ddam who won between this trip and 1m2f. Showed nothing at all on debut when distant ninth of 10 at Kempton last week and will probably need more time.
Cost 12,500gns as a yearling. By Bated Breath out of nine-time winner between 7f-1m1f. Ran very rgeen and was never at the races over 1m on debut at Lingfield in March and future may lie in modest handicap company.
Very well bred filly by Night Of Thunder out of 1000 Guineas winner Ameerat. Half-sister to six winners at between 7f-1m3f. Yard had just a couple of unplaced runners so far so will have to be decent to bustle up the anticpated favourite on debut.
Forecasts
Manigordo (2/11), Taawfan (7/2), Our Lad (66/1), Trepidation (125/1)
MANIGORDO was a decent sort last term and if he has trained on to a similar level should be good enough to get off the mark at the fifth time of asking. Taawfan is beautifully bred and could be anything (her dam won the 1000 Guineas) so any sign of market support for her would be noteworthy. Her yard hasn't really got going since the return though. It's impossible to make any sort of a case for either Our Lad or Trepidation who are expected to be outclassed.
- Manigordo
- Taawfan
- Our Lad
