Never really got involved in a couple of starts for James Fanshawe last summer (7f/1m) and also well held on debut for this trainer at Southwell in March. Looks to have a tough task back in trip, the way that this race is framed.
Easy winner at Dundalk (5f, AW) on debut for Kieran Cotter last year. Not seen again until October, when keen and below that initial level of form. Since gelded and changed hands. Good draw and likely to have more ability than most here.
50-1, never better than midfield and last of 10 on debut in a Haydock novice event last September. Since gelded. Handy draw here, but need to see much more before he can be recommended, so only of interest today if market vibes strong.
€12,000 foal, €16,000 yearling. Eighth foal. Half-brother to two winners, the best of whom is Ukrainian (1m3f-1m5f). Dam 1m-1m2f winner. Trainer 10% with 3yos over five seasons, and this gelding looks likely to do better over further.
Sprint-bred son of Dutch Art. Gelded prior to last week's Newcastle debut (6f, AW), when 100-1, slowly away and never dangerous. Can only watch this time.
£7,000 yearling. First foal. Dam 5f winner. Nice enough sprint pedigree. Stable 12% with 3yos, but not usually associated with debut winners. Probably best watched unless she comes in for market support.
Posted a couple of moderate efforts over the minimum trip last year. Much improvement needed on that to trouble the leading players in this field.
Disappointed when last as favourite on debut (under today's jockey) at Doncaster last summer, but showed some improvement at Redcar last July. Needs significant improvement to figure, but a market check is suggested.

Not the strongest of novice events and it looks a good opportunity for GEORGE CORNELIUS. We know he can win when fresh and his form is the strongest on offer here, so he is taken to win again on his debut for Karl Burke. Ruby Wonder is probably the one to give him most to think about, while of the remainder, Sushi Power, Due A Win and Dandy Story could make their presence felt.
