Kingman gelding; basically disappointing in two starts (6f) as a juvenile; from a speedy family line (half-brother to Desert Law, 5f-6f amongst others) so it's no real surprise that his trainer persists; first racecourse appearance for 553 days.
Half-brother to the 1m2f winner Menin Gate; displayed speed before folding relatively tamely on racecourse debut at Doncaster (7f, heavy) last October; likely to encounter a much sounder racing surface today; stablemate of Temper Trap.
First foal from the 5½f-6f winner Lead A Merry Dance (cost £7,000 as a yearling); while this is seemingly a suitable starting option, the suspicion is that he'll find others with more ability.
Camacho gelding from the 7f juvenile winner Night Sphere; this seventh foal (a half-brother to five winners, including Homage (6f-1m½f) and Victory Day (6f)) cost a cool £125,000 as a yearling; SDS is an eye-catching jockey booking.
Picked up unraced for 5,000gns in late 2019; 66-1 and was well out of his comfort zone behind the exciting Art Power at Newcastle (6f) last week; needs to take a sizeable step forward in order to figure positively.
Slade Power gelding (cost £30,000 as a yearling); slow from the starting stalls on both juvenile starts (Haydock, 6f-1m) and is yet to finish in front of a single rival as a result; wide drawn stablemate of Emerald Swalk.
Once-raced Kingman filly (raced keenly on Kempton debut); half-sister to the 6f AW winner Sundiata; left the care of Ralph Beckett in February of this year for 22,000gns; interesting to see how she fares for the shrewd Roger Fell.
Cost €35,000 as a yearling but didn't achieve anything of real note in two starts (on varying racing surfaces) as a juvenile; stablemate of Midnite Bride.
Cost 110,000gns as a yearling (from a pacy dam and a half-sister to three winners, including Noble Star (7f AW)); absent since finishing seventh of nine to Alenava at Hayock (6f, soft) last June.

Dandy Man filly; didn't exactly appear to be blessed with a massive amount of natural ability in two starts on Fibresand (5f-6f); tongue-tie newly applied for the switch to turf; look elsewhere for the solution.

Not a great deal of strength in depth is offered from those with previous racecourse experience, although on paper the returning Internationalangel (Richard Fahey) and the now Roger Fell-trained Crispina ought to prove capable of bettering what has been achieved on track so far. Therefore, the likeliest winner comes in the shape of one of the newcomers, with the Silvestre De Sousa-ridden Recurrent and the very well-bred SILK LACE highest on the shortlist. Mark Johnston's Shamardal filly is the eighth foal from the useful Group 2 winner Silkwood.
