Another C&D winner although he's hardly helped by a wide draw and this confirmed front runner may find it hard to get on the sharp end here. Operating below his best since returning from a break on the AW with his last win coming over 7f on turf.
Far from a serial winner but did return to near his best last time when bumping into a thriving mare over 5f at Chelmsford taking the runner-up slot. Back up 2lb for that performance but interesting off this mark although 5f may suit better.
Got the better of Barrington over C&D in January affirming his good course record 14241 although his best form come in slightly lesser grade. Beaten on last four tries outside of 0-75 class; faces a tougher task than usual despite good course record.
Took a while to get the hang of things with the drop to sprint trips looking to be the key to his improved form. Run with credit since initial win scoring last time out over 6f on Polytrack; unexposed as a sprinter; carries 5lb penalty up in grade.
Poor over 7f last time out he may be better suited by a return to this trip and a rematch with his old rival Enthaar who beat him over C&D in January. 2lb better of with that foe this time and better drawn he ought to go well, one for the shortlist.
Consistent on the AW (runner-up on first four starts) he's proven on a variety of synthetics; broke his maiden in a weak Fibresand novice last time. Continues to look slightly quirky; makes his handicap debut from a wide draw; little to prove.
Course specialist (5-11, three wins at this trip) but he's been rather quiet of late with two poor runs to his name, never a threat last time. Not run here since last November, possible a return may spark a revival, market to provide that signal.
Off the mark on his first start for this yard when returning from 13-months off showing a good turn of foot to win a C&D novice. Consistent enough since although his one venture outside 0-75 company appeared to find him out and may do so again.
First run for a new yard with his recent history being one who is lightly-raced with some long absences on his CV. Returns from another lengthy spell on the sidelines and hard to see him getting involved.
Widest draw of all won't help his chance especially as he's shown very little in six runs for this yard since returning from Ireland. Dual AW winner in his younger days he arrested the slide last time from a falling mark; need to find the key to him.

Venture (7/2), Enthaar (4/1), Rock Boy Grey (9/2), Barrington (5/1), Badayel (7/1), Boom The Groom (8/1), Doc Sportello (8/1), Soar Above (10/1), Double Up (14/1), Discreet Hero (25/1), Bungee Jump (33/1), Omran (66/1)
A competitive sprint handicap with several of the field looking to be on the up although they do have to prove themselves in this grade. Old rivals Enthaar and Barrington meet again having finished 1-2 here in January the winner hasn’t been seen since while the second has although he ran poorly over 7f last time. However he is weighted to get the better of his old rival from a better draw. Boom The Groom is well weighted but his overall profile/trip are slight doubts and the unexposed/improving Venture has to prove himself in this grade. ROCK BOY GREY a winner on Saturday at Chelmsford is returned quickly to the track suggesting he’s well handicapped and still unexposed over sprint trips.
- Rock Boy Grey
- Barrington
- Enthaar
