One of a handful of Mark Dunphy-owned horses to make their way from Henry Oliver (via Claire Dyson) to Michael Scudamore; headed at the last when beaten 7L by Lady Master at Market Rasen (2m3f) 27 days ago; feasibly handicapped; cheekpieces go on.
In deep on return to action from a 14-month absence (finished last of four to Dorking Cock) at Carlisle (2m, soft) last month; has eased 5lb in the weights since; watch and monitor only for the moment.
Game winner of a maiden hurdle at Ayr (2m, soft) in March 2018, but has kept moderate form in six starts since; makes his chasing debut post wind surgery, so that combined change could feasibly lead to an upturn in fortunes.
Didn't show a great deal of ability over hurdles (0-3) and isn't exactly bred for chasing (dam raced over 1m3f on the Flat); tongue-tie applied post wind surgery for a first crack over the larger obstacles.
11-race maiden (0-3 over fences); absent since pulling-up at Killarney (2m5f, good) in May 2019; entirely debatable as to how he'll handle the testing underfoot conditions; debut for Tom Symonds with hood and tongue-tie applied post wind surgery.
Very lightly raced for his age (just eight starts) so presumably has had any number of problems; has eased 4lb in the weights since finishing in excess of 15L fourth of nine (14-1) to What's The Scoop at Newcastle (2m, soft) latest.
19-race maiden; campaigned almost exclusively at Perth during the summer period in recent years; has left the care of Iain Jardine since her last appearance six months ago; makes her chasing debut for Laura Morgan.

Forecasts
The Crazed Moon (11/8), Carlingford Prince (5/1), Snougar (11/2), Takemeback (6/1), Angel's Envy (9/1), Steel Yard (10/1), Relkadam (12/1), Going Mobile (16/1)
Three of the eight declared runners are returning from wind surgery, including Donald McCain's chasing newcomer Snougar. The suspicion is that this race won't take a great deal of winning, so it wouldn't necessarily be a great surprise to see him involved at the finish. However, the safer option is probably THE CRAZED MOON. Although weak at the finish over a longer trip on debut for Michael Scudamore at Market Rasen (2m3½f, good to soft) four weeks ago, she should prove capable of winning a race of this nature (over 2m).
