Losing streak is mounting up, but he is eased in grade after finishing sixth of seven at Wolverhampton (1m1f; standard) on his seasonal reappearance/stable debut last month. Never ran at this track before, and needs to offer more encouragement.
Maintained his unbeaten record (2-2) when winning under a penalty at Wolverhampton (7f; standard) last month. Step up in trip offers the hope of further improvement as he makes his handicap debut, and he has a very likeable profile.
Not won for over a year now, but tends to go well over C&D and he wasn't disgraced when third in a higher grade at this track last time out. Drops back into a class four and has place claims.
Was running on late in the day when unable to grab the leading pair at Lingfield (1m2f; standard) on Saturday. That continued a good run of form which has seen her win seven times over the winter (including over C&D last week). Can't rule out.
Recorded a second C&D victory on her penultimate start, but was nowhere near that level of form when only seventh here two weeks ago. Difficult to make a case for off the back of such a performance.
Posted another woeful effort when failing to beat a single rival in this grade over C&D last time out. Is now below his last winning mark, but when in this form he can't be recommended at all.
Tailed off at Nottingham (1m; soft) when last seen under this code back in October. Endured a miserable time of things over jumps in the main since then, and it would be a major surprise if he were to go close.
Nearly overcame an 8lb rise in the weights when a narrow third at Chelmsford (1m; standard) last month. The form has since been franked twice by the winner and once by the fifth-placed horse. Still lightly raced and holds an excellent chance.
Posted a respectable effort when third in bid for the five-timer at Southwell (7f; standard) last month. All four of his most recent wins have came at that track, but he has scored over this C&D in the past.
12lb below last winning mark, but recent efforts leave quite a lot to be desired including his last one which was in this grade over 7f at the start of the month. Best watched unless market speaks in his favour.
Scored in this grade at Wolverhampton (1m; standard) back in November, but he hasn't been in the same form since and would need to step up on his most recent effort when fifth over C&D.
Good run of form continued when he was a close-up third at Kempton (7f; standard to slow) over a furlong shorter here earlier this month. Vulnerable for win purposes (last win came in 2017 off a 26lb higher mark), but he is entitled to place claims.
Tailed off on both starts so far this year since returning from a short absence. Yet to win in seven starts on the AW, and so he can be easily ruled out until showing more encouragement.
Has been going through a quiet spell in a lower grade recently, but was competitive on both starts when last seen in this grade last year. This is competitive though, and although he is a dual C&D winner he has a bit to find.
Forecasts
Agent Of Fortune (10/3), Swiss Cheer (7/2), Family Fortunes (9/2), Silverturnstogold (8/1), Sherpa Trail (8/1), Atletico (12/1), Fortune And Glory (14/1), Tough Remedy (16/1), Delicate Kiss (16/1), Gossiping (25/1), Sea Fox (66/1), Zlatan (66/1), Itsakindamagic (66/1), Molaaheth (100/1)
This is a very competitive event and one which sees the admirable Agent Of Fortune turned out quickly once again. She showed no signs of her busy winter schedule catching up with her when a fast finishing third over 1m2f on Saturday, and she was successful over C&D prior to that. The form of the race Swiss Cheer was third in last time has been well advertised since by the winner, so he has claims off an unchanged mark as do Silvertturnstogold and Atletico. The most appealing in the line-up is SHERPA TRAIL who is unbeaten after winning a pair of AW novices. He shapes as though the step up in trip will suit, so can make a winning transition to the handicap ranks.
- Sherpa Trail
- Agent Of Fortune
- Swiss Cheer
