Price rose considerably to €380,000 as a two-year-old but career has been stalled. Half-brother to 6f winner Mubaalegh and 1m victor Shyamala. Strong pedigree and should be well-supported on debut.
Twice-raced maiden who has placed in both starts, including when never nearer third of five at Wolverhampton (1m) in December. Likely to have more improvement in him and holds place claims.
42,000 gns yearling. Dam was a winner over 1m2f who also stayed further and is a half-sister to 2m performer Cartwright. Likely to improve over further in time but considered.
Dutch Art colt. Made a taking debut after slow start when staying on to finish fifth at Lingfield (1m) last month. Likely to get better with racing and may have improved from that.
Twice-raced maiden who has yet to really show any ability of late, including when towards the rear at Kempton (1m) at the start of December. Readily opposed.
Placed in each of his four starts to date, showing more and more promise on each occasion. Very good third in 1m Kempton handicap in January and looks to be the main danger.
Epaulette filly who doesn't boast the most impressive pedigree. Ran accordingly to 50/1 odds on debut at Newcastle (7f) and needs to massively improve on that.
Twice-raced maiden who has occupied eighth on both of her starts. No obvious improvement at Kempton (1m) in late January and looks to be one for handicaps in time.
Forecasts
Lord Tennyson (11/8), Shine On Brendan (11/4), Pledge Of Honour (4/1), El Salvaje (8/1), Eaglesglen (8/1), Windy Cove (33/1), Ower Bush Mills (33/1), Malizia (100/1)
While there is likely to be a strong move in the market for the regally-bred Lord Tennyson, preference is for the likeable SHINE ON BRENDAN, who is yet to disappoint in each of his starts and looks to have the experience edge over the whole of the field. The previously mentioned horse could be a classy prospect in time but faces a stiff task on debut, while the likes of EL Salvaje and Pledge Of Honour have strikingly similar profiles which suggests they will be winning races in time, but may bump into one in this.
- Shine On Brendan
- El Salvaje
- Lord Tennyson
