Agent Of Fortunep2(ex 5)
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-1| J: Rhys Clutterbuck(7)| T: G & J Moore| OR:  76| CD
Comes here at the top of her game, having won six of eight starts since joining current yard from Christine Dunnett. Better than ever when winning at Lingfield last month, runs here on Monday night (8:00pm).

Dancing Ravep19
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-7| J: A Kirby| T: D O'Meara| OR:  73
Trip the question mark here (limited evidence over 1m) but plenty of solid AW form over 7f and 6f in the last 12 months. Got the right man on board to deliver her to perfection and has to enter the equation.

Roman Spinnert18
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-7| J: Rob Hornby| T: Rae Guest| OR:  73| CD
Landed a double late in 2019 and not beaten far into fourth here. Only 1lb higher now than last C&D win so can't be ignored in very tricky handicap.

Venustav20
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-6| J: Finley Marsh(3)| T: P Owens| OR:  72| D
Retained first-time visor did the trick as she dead-heated at Chelmsford latest where caught on the line. Only 3lb higher so not ruled out although visor not guaranteed to have as big an effect now.

Carnival Rose39
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-6| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: J R Fanshawe| OR:  72| C| D
Scored on the second start of her career over 7f and after mostly struggling got back to winning ways in narrow success at Lingfield latest. Similar level of performance should see her go close today although consistency not her strong suit.

I Love You Baby23
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-3| J: L Morris| T: M Appleby| OR:  69
Unexposed filly a novice winner on debut at Wolverhampton but regressed since and last of seven on handicap debut marked her out a doubtful stayer over 1m; questions to answer here.

Canasta69
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-2| J: J Mitchell| T: J R Fanshawe| OR:  68| BF
Steadily improved throughout last year and still has potential to do better again, bit disappointing on final start but has had a short break since then, which may help; trip and surface fine so merits respect.

Lady Alavesa8
Age: 5|  Weight: 8-12| J: Josephine Gordon| T: M Herrington| OR:  64| BF| D
Won four times (7f-1m) for her previous handler Gay Kelleway; clear second best at Newcastle promising but folded tamely there next. Others preferred.

Waitaki7(ex 4)
Age: 7|  Weight: 8-5| J: Darragh Keenan(3)| T: J G Given| OR:  53| C
Poor overall strike rate but former Irish-trained mare yet to run a bad race for this yard and won impressively here over 7f last time out. 4lb penalty far from enough to inconvenience her and just as effective over 1m.

Forecasts

Waitaki (4/1), Agent Of Fortune (9/2), Carnival Rose (6/1), Venusta (6/1), Dancing Rave (6/1), Roman Spinner (7/1), I Love You Baby (10/1), Lady Alavesa (12/1), Canasta (12/1)

Verdict

Having won going away last time out here over 7f there looks little doubt that WAITAKI will stay the extra 1f and she is surely well in with just a 4lb penalty and a featherweight to carry. Her rivals are strong however with very much in-form Agent Of Fortune a big threat if taking part in what would be her second start in three days. Also shortlisted is Dancing Rave despite 1m being at the absolute limit of her stamina compass.
  1. Waitaki
  2. Agent Of Fortune
  3. Dancing Rave
