In fine form this winter and clearly still progressing. Hat-trick bid at Lingfield came up just short when last seen in December but another bold bid looks assured.

Best effort since maiden success at Wolverhampton latest when third of 13 runners. Not necessarily quite as good on this surface however.

Maiden but second in last three starts and beaten by a nose over C&D latest. Only 1lb higher here so bold bid again expected, perhaps cheek-pieces can get her over the line.

C&D winner who is on an attractive mark after a 14-race losing run. Definite signs that she's on the way back and second to a good winner last time certainly brings her into the equation here.

Beautifully bred daughter of Sea The Stars placed four times in five races and surely sooner rather than later the champion trainer will get her over the line; very easily be today.

Twice placed in novice company but only fifth on handicap debut at Wolverhampton. Gets 4lb back for that but others preferred.

Scored back-to-back AW wins for previous handler Owen Burrows before 4L fourth of eight here on stable debut. Handicap still must be proven to be within range.

Verdict

Quite a competitive little race with plenty of positive form on offer. With little between the principles the vote goes to FINESPUN whose pedigree and connections are that of a horse expected to be considerably better than this level; she is still learning the game at this stage. There are dangers aplenty and very much in-form Guroor looks chief among them although J Gaye is also a big threat having gone down by the minimum margin latest.
