Didn't really fire in first two starts but showed really likeable progression when third of 11 at Wolverhampton (1m1f) when giving an enterprising ride. Likely to be ridden similarly on handicap debut. Claims.

Irish raider. Produced a career-best on first AW start when taking 1m handicap in tenacious style at Dundalk. Now up in trip but that shouldn't be an issue and holds leading claims on previous form.

Four-race maiden who stepped up nicely on previous efforts when well-held third in 1m handicap at Wolverhampton last month. Due a rise in the handicap after this but every chance he could step up.

Thrice-raced maiden who took the blinkers when sixth - beaten 4L - at Lingfield (1m2f) ten days ago. That was first handicap start and may improve again for in-form jockey/trainer combination.

Three-time maiden who has fared no better than midfield in those efforts. Poor seventh of eight at Lingfield (1m2f) when left behind by a long way. Needs to produce much more on handicap debut.

Had first run for this yard at Lingfield last time and ran a taking race when keeping-on second over 1m. Up in trip but remains on a dangerous mark and has to merit some consideration.

Had started to look a frustrating sort but took to the application of visor when running out winner of 1m2f Lingfield handicap in late January. Mark has expectedly gone up but remains on the shortlist.

Thrice-raced maiden and had first run since leaving yard of Karen George when eighth of 11 in minor event at Wolverhampton (1m1f). Very hard to fancy and likely rank outsider.

Very little achieved in four starts to date and has gone backwards in his last two, including last of 11 at Wolverhampton (1m). Hung badly left that day so doesn't look to be the easiest of sorts.

Down the field in each of his three starts and was 11th of 13 in 6f Southwell contest when last seen in September. Now up in distance extremely and will need plenty of improvement.

Verdict

Irish raider CALIDUS MIRABILIS took the eye with his narrow verdict over 1m at Dundalk last time and the nature his staying-on nature suggests this trip could bring out even more in him. With the all-weather's leading rider booked for the ride, he could prove very hard to beat. Arabescato took his form to new lease of life with the application of a visor last time and with that retained, he could be set for another bold effort while the likes of Manap and Handsome Yank threatened without winning last time and remain slightly unexposed in this company.
  1. Calidus Mirabilis
  2. Arabescato
  3. Manap
