Creditable third to a pair of in-form rivals over 1m here last week when cheekpieces replaced normal blinkers. Has form at this longer trip and this his first run in 0-55 company so should give a good account of himself.
Plenty of placed efforts but a 21 race maiden despite trying various trips. Did best of those ridden up with the pace here last time but needs to eke out a bit of improvement to get off the mark.
Formerly trained in Ireland where his best form was on turf but has joined an in-form yard and dropped down to a lenient mark. Good jockey booking and market should reveal more.
Two fair efforts since stepping up to this distance though raced a bit keen when fifth at Newcastle on latest. Takes a drop down to basement grade and there could be more to come.
Won a seller on last start for Sir Mark Prescott at Brighton but hasn't run up to that form in two starts for this yard and something to prove at present.
Placed on three occasions last season but finished the campaign on a low. Showed a bit more when midfield at Kempton recently with blinkers tried (retained here) and well weighted if able to build on that.
Regressive maiden who was tailed off after a slow start on first run for this yard in September and hard to be positive on this drop in trip.
Lightly raced veteran these days who was tailed off on both runs last summer and not hard to look elsewhere on that evidence.
Without a win since October 2018 but was well backed to end that lean run last time but had no chance having been held up in a slow run race. May get better pace to aim at here and interesting if that is the case.
Multiple winner in his younger days but was totally out of sorts when last seen in the spring and not hard to look elsewhere.
100/1 for each of his three runs in maidens at up to 1m and yet to show any ability though may do better now handicapping at further and worth a precautionary look in the market.
Regressive maiden who has yet to reach the frame over various trips though yard in better form at present which offers a glimmer of hope.
Poor maiden who has tried various trips with no success and no better when nibbled at in the market last time. Connections now reach for the hood. but others make more appeal.
Forecasts
Subliminal (9/4), Solfeggio (11/4), Highway One (4/1), Fivehundredmiles (15/2), Eesha's Smile (10/1), Savoy Brown (16/1), Fanny Chenal (20/1), Padura Brave (20/1), Ramatuelle (33/1), Lambristo (33/1), Los Cerritos (33/1), Estibdaad (66/1), Lucky Lou (66/1)
Fivehundredmiles is an interesting runner for his new yard and needs monitoring in the market, but SUBLIMINAL ran up to his best behind a pair of in-form rivals here last week and a repeat of that should see ho close to doubling his career tally. Eesha's Smile hinted at better last time and along with Solfeggio head the list of dangers.
- Subliminal
- Eesha's Smile
- Solfeggio
