Not disgraced when bidding for a four-timer in a typically competitive Cheltenham (2m5f; soft) handicap. Beat Ziggy Rose by six-length at this course prior to that. Should make a bold bid to regain the winning thread despite top-weight.
Made return from two years off the track when pulled-up at Exeter (2m2f; soft) on New Years Day. Was entitled to need the run after such a long absence, and she scored over C&D before getting injured. Does have a bit too much to prove though.
Posted a promising effort on her handicap debut when third to a well-treated rival at Taunton (3m; soft) last month. Gave weight and a beating to Ziggy Rose and Subway Surf at Warwick prior to that. Conceding even more weight to them now though.
Has seemingly found life tough since being hit with a 9lb rise for her first win over hurdles at the start of the season. Handicapper still isn't relenting, so doesn't look very well treated. This is a slight drop in grade.
Rise in grade/weights may have found her out when she was a distant eighth at Kempton (3m; soft) on just her second start of this campaign. Dropped back into a class 3, and remains lightly raced.
Proved to be expensive to follow over hurdles to date (turned over at 6/4f & 5/6f). Ultimately very disappointing at this track last time out. Does look well treated to reverse form with Winter Getaway who she finished third behind on hurdles debut.
0-3 over hurdles, but steps up in trip on handicap debut after finishing only fifth at Wincanton (2m5f; good to soft) in a maiden hurdle. Opening mark is fair, and she is not one to rule out lightly. Place claims.
Runner-up to Winter Getaway at Warwick (2m5f; soft) two starts ago when in receipt of 6lb, but receives even more weight from that rival now. Needs to be ridden more prominently than she was on handicap debut when only fourth on first try at 3m.
Reverted to hurdles last time when well-beaten after winning in bloodless fashion at Hereford (3m1f; soft) on her penultimate start. Remains 5lb above the mark she last won off over hurdles over 2m5f at this track in January last year.
Handicap debut was promising, and she remains lightly raced as she goes beyond 2m4f for the first time. However, she does need to bounce back from a below-par effort at Fakenham (2m4f; good to soft) on New Years Day when only sixth.
Profile would suggest she has a preference for faster ground conditions, which she is unlikely to get here. Was in terrific form when last seen, and now returns to the track from a 211-day break in search of a hat-trick. Betting may be informative.
Pulled-up on each of her last two starts when struggling at Hereford (3m1f; soft). Now reverts to hurdles for the first time since April. Looks to be regressing at present, and she is therefore opposed with confidence.
7-race maiden who has ran exclusively at this track over 2m/2m5f on each of her three starts this season. In consistent form prior to being pulled-up last time out. Place claims on the strength of her first two runs of the season if back to form.
Forecasts
Legends Gold (7/4), Subway Surf (4/1), Winter Getaway (7/1), Ziggy Rose (12/1), Coillte Eile (14/1), Regarding Ruth (14/1), Longhousesignora (14/1), Wilde Spirit (16/1), Who's The Boss (16/1), Ellens Way (16/1), Midnightreflection (22/1), Royal Claret (33/1), Ask Catkin (50/1)
Despite having to give weight away to previous rivals, this can go to WINTER GETAWAY who may have only finished third on handicap debut at Taunton last month, but she is likely to be all the better for that first foray into the handicap sphere. Despite giving lumps of weight away to her nearest rivals in the shape of Subway Surf and Ziggy Rose, she should confirm the form of her Warwick victory with that pair. The aforementioned duo remain lightly raced and open to improvement though so should be bang there. Legends Gold is also afforded maximum respect back in slightly calmer waters after finishing sixth at Cheltenham in a hot race.
- Winter Getaway
- Subway Surf
