Failed to make use of a sliding mark with her last two runs both over 1m4f here slightly disappointing (reported to have hung badly left last time). Will have to prove her stamina for this trip and there look to be safer alternatives in the field.

Produced a performance of little worth on her debut for this yard last time at Dundalk over 1m3f, never travelling well and always behind. Might be able to be more competitive in handicap company but is untested on this surface.

Not been with this stable long; showed some promise on his second run for the yard before producing a laboured effort last time (started slowly). Eyeshields (first-time) now added to his usual blinkers; up in trip and not written off just yet.

Better known as a modest handicap hurdler but has recently been plying his trade on the Flat. Had just the two runs for this yard both in selling company, looked at home here last time but as usual found little at the death; 0-33 in his career.

1-17 on Fibresand with the win coming over 1m4f, that remains her only career win. Basically she could run a decent race off this mark if in the right mood as she was here last time over 1m4f but there's no guarantee that she will back that up.

Appears well handicapped on his old form although given recent circumstances it would require a fair leap of faith to support him. Last of 13 when last seen at Kempton over 2m he was reported to have had an irregular heartbeat and remains best watche

Stuck on well to be second in a selling handicap (2m) last month with Never A Word back in fourth. Far from the force he was but a repeat of his last run would see him go close in a race that isn't much better than that selling handicap.

Not the most overall convincing of record and his two previous starts on Fibresand can hardly be called inspiring. Pulled up in tough conditions over hurdles last time his previous AW run saw him perform better than he has for a while; still risky.

Her form figures look impressive but those six wins came in Jersey over the summer in races that weren't strong (started favourite on ever occasion). Returns from a break versus stronger opponents but off a lowly mark if she handles this surface.

Produced his best recent run on his Fibresand debut after three months off doing well in the circumstances after terrible starts (still travelled well). Still a maiden (0-13) but hasn't run badly of late and worth another shot on this surface.

Forecasts

Chinese Alphabet (11/4), Going Native (7/2), Cape Agulhas (5/1), Apache Blaze (8/1), Irish Minister (9/1), Alramz (10/1), Never A Word (12/1), Molliana (12/1), Finisher (20/1), Allora Yeats (20/1), Incus (25/1)

Verdict

There don’t look to be any obvious improvers in this contest but there are one or two interesting contenders headed by CAPE AGULHAS who shaped well here in October having blown the start completely, off a lowly mark he can make an impression. Alramz is another off a basement mark who will be worth keeping an eye on he’s flashed some ability on a few occasions. Molliana has some impressive form figures but all her six wins were gained in Jersey and it remains to be seen how she handles this stronger company and a second run on the Fibresand. Irish Minister and Chinese Alphabet are two others that enter the equation with both having shown fair form around here.
  1. Cape Agulhas
  2. Chinese Alphabet
  3. Irish Minister
