1lb better off with Roman Spinner here today after her neck defeat to that rival at 25/1 over 1m at Kempton 19 days ago. Certainly a big player on that run and little between the duo again today.
Ended three year losing run at Haydock this summer over 7f and went close over 1m½f at Wolverhampton latest. Upped 1lb for that ½L defeat by re-opposing Sea Fox but remains a leading candidate today.
Last of 11 at Wolverhampton latest in a race where Sea Fox beat Mickey into second. Obviously has a lot to find on that and little better in other most recent contests.
Landed back-to-back 1m½f wins at Wolverhampton before combination of extra 1f and higher mark caught him out latest. Perhaps he can revive fortunes now dropped back to 1m and certainly not one to rule out.
Dual turf winner upped 4lb for his short head defeat over C&D last time out. Seems a steadily progressive individual so should still go well but rise of that degree looks a little harsh.
Dual turf winner back after a break for what will be his third AW start. Seems to act on the surface but rarely looked well handicapped of late.
Uber-consistent mare won three times on the AW and placed on a further 11 occasions between turf and AW. Not run a bad race in 2019 and although the handicapper knows all about her she's always a sound each-way option.
C&D win last year one of 10 career successes and he remains as consistent as ever with a close third last time out after winning at Kempton in November. Not well handicapped but still expected to run well.
Recorded back-to-back wins coming into this over C&D and over 1m at Kempton latest beating Saikung a neck. That rival 2lb better off so closely matched here but in current form she has to be considered a leading player again.
C&D scorer in a 0-70 in June, when 4lb lower. Has not kicked on from that in two subsequent runs, leaving him with a bit to prove.
Forecasts
Almufti (7/2), Thechildren'strust (6/1), Mickey (6/1), Roman Spinner (13/2), Stringybark Creek (13/2), Sea Fox (7/1), Delicate Kiss (9/1), Nawar (12/1), Candelisa (16/1), Saikung (16/1)
There was little between SAIKUNG and Roman Spinner at Kempton last time out and with 2lb better terms today Charlie Hills' filly is fancied to turn the tables having only gone down by a neck. In a competitive contest there are plenty of others worthy of consideration and recent seconds Mickey and Thechildren'strust are chief among them.
- Saikung
- Roman Spinner
- Mickey
