Made a belated debut when finishing third at Newcastle although he may well have been flattered by that placing, having been slowly away before plugging on behind two more-fancied rivals. Cheap purchase from the Simon Crisford yard, could do better.

Not seen for an awfully long time his powerful connections have seen fit to persevere. Just one run to his name so far as a 2yo at Chelmsford (1m2f) coming second to a useful type in a race that worked out well; market may well tell a story.

The only winner in the field she's made the switch from winning a bumper on debut to taking a Nottingham novice (1m6f, heavy) although the overall race looks a weak one. Conditions will be a lot different this time; AW debut, hard sort to judge.

Well related sort by Farhh who showed plenty to work on when making his debut at Kempton recently over 1m4f. Will definitely know more this time (ran green on initial outing); should stay further, with more to come with his debut tucked away.

Newcomer; half-brother to three winners, including 1m2f-1m4f winner Deinonychus (a winner for this yard); and 1m3f winner Ominotago; dam, 1m2f winner, also won over hurdles. Stable 0-11 with debutants in this sphere, others appeal more.

Made just the one appearance for Mark Johnson early this year when running very green and going in snatches in a 1m2f Lingfield maiden. Subsequently sold for £6,000 in May; makes his first appearance for his new yard; has been gelded.

40-1 chance on his debut in a Market Rasen bumper he showed very little when finishing well held. Failed to even repeat his first effort in a Huntingdon bumper (100-1) although that was in a stronger race; now switches to the Flat, little appeal.

One of two that the stable run in this with neither making any real appeal this one having been well held in a couple of bumpers prior to making little impact on his Flat debut here over shorter. Hard to see her making any further progress here.

Shown relatively poor form in three novice events over hurdles with her best performance coming on her debut at Wincanton. Hasn't really shown anything since then in two subsequent starts and now given a go on the Flat; prospects look limited.

Yet to show any real ability in three AW starts on Tapeta/Fibresand all at shorter distances than she will face here. An SP of 150-1 summed up her chance last time; unlikely to see a shorter SP this time around, makes very little appeal.

Went with little promise on her debut here over an extended 1m1f and did little better over a slightly shorter trip at the same venue last time. Off the bridle a long way out she's expected to make very little impact against this opposition.

Forecasts

Silverbook (1/3), Lovely Lou Lou (7/2), Brighton Pier (6/1), Sharp Suited (16/1), Dreadnoughtus (20/1), Princess T (33/1), Courteva (66/1), Kelis (100/1), Royal Born (100/1), Highland Sun (100/1), Ruler Of Natives (100/1)

Verdict

This isn’t a strong event to end the card with and even off a break that is over two years long Silverbrook representing powerful connections makes some appeal in a race that will take little winning. Lovely Lou Lou has already won in two different spheres being a bumper and novice winner albeit in very testing conditions in a race that turned out to be very weak, she will face a very different scenario here. BRIGHTON PIER should know more this time having shown plenty to work with on from his Kempton debut with the promise of more to come and this isn’t a deeper heat than he contested on his debut. Sharp Suited is also entitled to consideration despite a flattering debut.
