Completed a Chelmsford 1m handicap double when winning by a neck on his penultimate start. Slowly away when well beaten there subsequently and is an interesting runner off a mark 4lb higher than for his latest success.
Returning from a break when finishing a well beaten last of 12 over 7f at Wolverhampton a week ago. Better expected off a mark 2lb higher than when victorious at Brighton (7f, good-to-firm) in September.
Ran well to finish 1L fifth in a handicap over this distance at Kempton on her most recent start. Well handicapped on her old form having won off an 8lb higher mark over this trip at Kempton 12 months ago.
Eight race maiden wore blinkers (retained) for the first time when finishing 3¼L fourth in a big field 1m handicap at Newmarket (heavy) on return from a break at the start of this month. Placed on his only previous AW start.
Placed on stable debut in a 1m handicap at Carlisle (good-to-soft) in September. Held on both subsequent starts however most recently when 7L eighth over 7f at Wolverhampton a week ago.
Failed to figure in two starts over 7f since returning from a break most recently when beaten 15½L when tenth over 7f at Newbury (heavy) last month. Others make more appeal.
Dual winner including over 7f here back in January. Well beaten tenth in a 1m handicap at Kempton a month ago and market support would be notable off a mark 3lb lower than for her most recent victory.
Maiden winner over 7f at Brighton (good-to-firm) in September last year but had just two starts since including when 12L last of 11 over 7f at Newmarket (good-to-firm) on stable and seasonal debut in July. Others make more appeal upped in trip.
Registered a second career success when victorious over 1m at Kempton on his penultimate start. Beaten a head when third over the same C&D last time out and is one for the shortlist for a stable with a 27% strike-rate (3/11) in recent weeks.
Winner over 7f at Wolverhampton in September and finished a fair fifth over the same trip at Kempton next time out. Changed stables since disappointing at Chelmsford (7f) in first time cheekpieces (absent here) earlier this month.
Made a promising debut for this yard when 2L fourth in a 7f handicap at Kempton in September. Well held upped to this trip at Chelmsford later that month and cheekpieces tried for the first time on first outing since wind surgery.
Placed twice in maiden/novice company including when 9L third over 7f at Chepstow (good-to-soft) in September. Decent 2¾L sixth on handicap debut over 7f at Kempton a month ago. Interesting runner in this contest.
Forecasts
Roman Spinner (9/2), Sassoon (9/2), Puerto Banus (6/1), Zefferino (6/1), Scorched Breath (13/2), Takeonefortheteam (8/1), Jack Berry House (8/1), A Place To Dream (14/1), Black Medick (20/1), Redemptive (20/1), Red Armour (25/1), De Little Engine (25/1)
TAKEONEFORTHETEAM has been in good form of late and he is taken to defy a wide draw to take this competitive handicap event. Zefferino carries top weight here and was in good form prior to disappointing on his latest outing and he can finish runner-up while third place can go to Roman Spinner who is well handicapped on her old form and wasn't beaten far when fifth on her latest outing.
- Takeonefortheteam
- Zefferino
- Roman Spinner
