The Marcus Tregoning-trained SPIRIT OF ANGEL is difficult to dismiss on balance of his two most recent starts including a win at Newcastle over 1m4½f earlier this month. The Dark Angel gelding was winning for the second time in his career and, despite 6lb extra, can get the better of potential dangers in the shape of Elegant Love for trainer David Evans and Cheng Gong, a winner at Yarmouth last month. Recent Southwell winner Dolly McQueen can give a good account of herself once again.
