10-time winner who scored last time out here over 7f but has won over a mile in the past so has no stamina concerns. Carries 5lb penalty partially offset by good young rider's 3lb allowance.
Off the mark in June in Lingfield mile handicap and not disgraced off 5lb higher on recent return from summer break. Shaped well that day and may be touch fitter now so a bold show would not surprise.
C&D winner in February 2018 and has won twice at Yarmouth on turf this season. Shaped as though needing the run when fading on reappearance at Nottingham last month but should be straighter now.
Broke a long losing run when scoring in Salisbury mile handicap in September and ran too free on first start following rbeak when fading here over 7f three weeks ago. Eased 1lb but needs to bounce back.
Won Yarmouth 7f maiden last term for David Lanigan but ran poorly on debut for new connections last time over 1m2f and is hard to enthuse over on that evidence.
Landed Lingfield 7f handicap this summer and scored over C&D in September off 3lb lower than today. Solid efforts last two starts and should be on the premises if things drop his way.
Has hinted at a little ability in all three starts so far, including last time when returning from nine-month break and possibly found the extended 1m1f too far. Handicap debut here and is less exposed than most so worth a market check.
Last win came over 1m1f in Goodwood handicap in May 2018. Stone lower now having struggled to capitalise on falling handicap mark and it will be a surprise if he proves good enough this time around.
Gelded after modest debut effort in August and has done well since returning, going close at Chelmsford last month then fair second after over 7f at this venue last time. Extra furlong looks right call and looks feasibly handicapped.
Landed mile handicaps at Kempton and Newbury this summer and has run respectably off higher marks without adding to tally. Eased 2lb after modest effort last time ubt that was over 7f and may do better returned to the mile.
Scored easily over Chelmsford mile in August off 66 for David Lanigan, and has run well both starts for current yard. 1lb drop helps and jockey booking catches the eye so good display not out of the question.
Took advantage of ease in handicap mark when winning nicely over C&D last time, winning with a bit in hand. Taken time to get the message but she is out of a half-sister to Derby winner Kris Kin and may now be on the up.
Three starts this term for Saeed bin Suroor, finishing second on second start at Windsor in June over 1m2f. Gelded and returns following absence making handicap debut for new connections. Market check advised.
Genuine mare who has won seven races between 7f-1m4f. Now 2lb lower than last win which came over this C&D in February, and ran well for a long way over 1m3f last time. Definitely not out of the reckoning.
Forecasts
Earth And Sky (9/4), Pentimento (5/1), Stringybark Creek (8/1), Universal Effect (8/1), Thechildren'strust (10/1), Tofan (10/1), Magic Mirror (12/1), Nawar (12/1), In The Cove (12/1), Fortune And Glory (16/1), Oud Metha Bridge (16/1), Wild Animal (33/1), Sing Out Loud (50/1), Millions Memories (66/1)
Quite a few can be fancied here but if EARTH AND SKY can build on her recent C&D win she may take some stopping off just a 5lb higher mark. She is bred to be high-class but hadn't done much until last time. The penny may well have dropped. In The Cove has a shout but has been done no favours been the widest draw of all, and the mare Magic Mirror should be in the thick of it once again at a trip that suits. The jockey booking on Universal Effect is interesting, while a market check is advised for Wild Animal who makes his handicap debut. Pentimento and Stringybark Creek are others with fair claims.
