Looks an improver since switching to handicap company. Narrow second at Thirsk two starts ago and probably ran to that level once again when fourth of 12 at Redcar (6f) in late September. Entitled to go well.

Big prices for majority of his starts to date and didn't show much progression when ninth of 15 at Newbury (6f) in September. Makes handicap bow but opening mark is lofty enough.

Steady improver. Outran outsider status at Redcar two starts ago and made first start in this company a winning one at Newcastle (6f) last month. Not too harshly penalised for that so commands respect.

Looked to have an inconsistent record but improved greatly with dominant front-running display over C&D two weeks ago. Hiked 9lb in the handicap now but dangerous if getting a soft lead.

Exposed sort. Dropped down to the minimum distance for handicap debut but looked an outpaced sixth at Chelmsford (5f) at the start of the month. Back up to 6f for this but more needed now.

Il Maestro18

Yet to get his head in front and had looked to be going the wrong way before solid third of nine at Chelmsford (5f) earlier this month. Back up in trip should help and holds good place claims.

Has been hitting the frame lately and made further improvement when staying on second at Wolverhampton (7f) four days ago. Likely to make presence felt but may need further in time.

Losing record now stands at 12 but produced career-best effort when narrow second to Lezardieux at Newcastle (6f) last month. Better weighted than his rival and on dangerous mark for stable debut.

Down the field in all four starts to date and showed little signs of improvement when fifth of six in 6f Chepstow nursery. Difficult to recommend at this stage.

Lightly-raced. Looked to be outclassed in novice company and finished seventh at Southwell (6f) on final start for Robert Cowell. Plenty to do at the moment but mark is lenient enough.

Modest sort. Yet to show any improvement since switching to this company and was outpaced seventh at Wolverhampton when last seen. Tough ask.

Three-time maiden. Well held in each start to date and weakened to finish eighth in 7f Brighton novice last month. Light handicap mark but plenty needed on debut in this sphere.

Forecasts

Sir Rodneyredblood (9/4), Rebel Redemption (10/3), You Don't Own Me (4/1), Lezardrieux (8/1), Il Maestro (12/1), Ivadream (16/1), Comeatchoo (16/1), Scallywagtail (16/1), The Blue Bower (50/1), Calbuco (50/1), Love Not Money (66/1), Birkie Queen (80/1)

Verdict

COMEATCHOO may be the most exposed in the field but took his form to a new level when a narrow second at Newcastle last time out. On that evidence he looks better weighted than most and his new yard can ready one in the company. He was beaten by Lezardrieux that day - who has a tougher ask off top weight - and is likely to go well once again while the likes of Sir Rodneyredblood and Il Maestro are dangerous to ignore but the handicapper is taking no chances with them.
