Oh This Is Us15
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-3| J: Thore Hammer-Hansen(5)| T: R Hannon| OR:  108| CD
Landed a valuable pot on AW finals day at Lingfield and got his head back in front at Chester in August. A bit hit and miss on turf and best efforts have come on a quicker surface than what he'll get here.

Muntadab12
Age: 7|  Weight: 9-8| J: P Mulrennan| T: R Fell & S Murray| OR:  99| CD
Won this race last year but arrived in much better form that day. Below that winning mark but with good reason having failed to show anything in three recent starts.

Alemaratalyoumt15
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-6| J: Oisin Murphy| T: S C Williams| OR:  97| BF| D
At his best on heavy ground, as seen when winning at Goodwood last month and posted a respectable run in defeat in a competitive heat at York last time; trip possibly on the sharp side though.

Cold Staret1
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-3| J: D Tudhope| T: D O'Meara| OR:  94| D
Heavy ground winner at Haydock in June but has struggled in four starts since. Step back up in trip no issue and only 2lb above his last winning mark now.

Remarkableb21
Age: 6|  Weight: 9-1| J: D Nolan| T: D O'Meara| OR:  92| C| D
Signed off 2017 with an impressive win at Ascot over this trip on final start for John Gosden. Missed all of 2018 though and hasn't shown enough in six starts for his new yard to be of interest here.

Young Fire15
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-11| J: S A Gray| T: D O'Meara| OR:  88| D
Soft ground winner at Haydock last month but has struggled from his revised mark in two deeper races since. Tends to do his best work in the finish and others make more appeal.

Wahoo15
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-10| J: A Mullen| T: M Dods| OR:  87| C| D
Course winner who got his head back in front at Redcar in August. Unsuited by the step up in trip at York last time out but has a bit to prove back down in trip in a race this competitive.

Flying Pursuitp,t15
Age: 6|  Weight: 8-9| J: Rachel Richardson| T: T D Easterby| OR:  86| C
Enjoyed an excellent 2017 and held his form well last year, despite only winning once. Signs he's returning to form in recent starts, particularly at York last time out and becoming very well-handicapped on old form.

Al Qahwap57
Age: 6|  Weight: 8-8| J: K Shoemark| T: D O'Meara| OR:  85
Losing run goes back to a York success back in 2017 at 6f. Beaten a long way on seasonal return at Thirsk last time and hard to recommend at present, even with a much lower mark to work with.

Donncha15
Age: 8|  Weight: 8-8| J: Ben Robinson| T: S Spencer| OR:  85| D
Losing run goes all the way back to 2015 but has hinted of a revival in a couple of starts for his new yard, particularly when only beaten ½L at Ripon in August; form has dipped since though.

Give It Some Teddy21
Age: 5|  Weight: 8-8| J: D Fentiman| T: T D Easterby| OR:  85
Arrives here bidding for a hat-trick after back-to-back wins at Redcar and won well on heavy ground last time out. Needs a career best from this handicap mark though.

Raydiance21
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-7| J: B A Curtis| T: K R Burke| OR:  84| D
Won a Listed event on soft ground as a juvenile and gained his first win since on seasonal bow at Redcar in June. Lost his way since but this handicap mark gives him a chance.

Ptarmigan Ridge50
Age: 5|  Weight: 8-7| J: Angus Villiers(7)| T: R Hughes| OR:  84| D
Only win in handicap company came from a 4lb lower mark than this when trained by James Fanshawe. Best effort for some time at Haydock last time out and able to race from a lower mark here; ought to run well.

Lord Of The Rock14
Age: 7|  Weight: 8-7| J: P Hanagan| T: L A Mullaney| OR:  84| C| D
Course winner who gained his first win since 2017 at Haydock at the start of the campaign. Just seen twice since, runner-up at Thirsk before disappointing at York last time, probably doing too much too soon; remains on a workable mark.

Boy In The Barv43
Age: 8|  Weight: 8-5| J: F Norton| T: Ian Williams| OR:  82| D
All turf wins have come on quicker ground than what he will get here and only wins at this trip have come on AW. Heavy ground at this trip may be too much of a stamina test for him.

Horse silk
Rapid Applause32
Age: 7|  Weight: 8-3| J: Nathan Evans| T: M & D Easterby| OR:  80
Won back-to-back races at the start of last season but has struggled subsequently and failed to beat a rival home on soft ground at Beverley last time out.

Zap15
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-0| J: Sean Davis(3)| T: R A Fahey| OR:  77| D
7f specialist who won a valuable pot at Leopardstown last year but has been well below par so far this term. Very well-handicapped on these terms though if he can bounce back with a talented apprentice claiming 3lb.

Six Strings30
Age: 5|  Weight: 8-0| J: J Quinn| T: M Appleby| OR:  76| BF
Won on debut for this yard but hasn't won since and unproven on soft ground; others make more appeal.

Forecasts

Alemaratalyoum (5/1), Give It Some Teddy (11/2), Oh This Is Us (6/1), Ptarmigan Ridge (8/1), Flying Pursuit (10/1), Young Fire (14/1), Boy In The Bar (14/1), Six Strings (14/1), Cold Stare (16/1), Muntadab (16/1), Donncha (16/1), Raydiance (16/1), Rapid Applause (16/1), Al Qahwa (20/1), Remarkable (25/1), Wahoo (25/1), Lord Of The Rock (25/1), Zap (25/1)

Verdict

RAYDIANCE is well-handicapped on these terms and he'll have no issue with the soft ground. The same can be said for Flying Pursuit in the same colours who has bounced back to form of late. Zap is another to consider on favourable terms while it's probably worth forgiving Lord Of The Rock's effort last time out.
  1. Raydiance
