Won a selling handicap at Brighton (1m4f, good to firm) on debut for this yard in August before posting three disappointing efforts after. Back to form when second back at Brighton last time but isn't the most consistent.

Yet to win in 11 starts but has made the frame the last twice, including over C&D two starts ago. Never troubled the leaders on either occasion but has place claims in moderate affair.

Age: 4|  Weight: 9-4| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: L Carter| OR:  42

Has struggled in her five runs so far, most recently at Lingfield (1m3½f, good to firm) six weeks ago, beating just one rival. Back down in trip in here but that not likely to be enough for an improved effort.

Seven-race maiden (0-5 on the Flat); scarcely beating even a single rival in those starts; holds no conceivable chance whatsoever with an official rating of 10; look elsewhere with confidence.

Three qualifying runs for handicaps were regressive and that hasn't changed since switching to handicaps the last twice, both over C&D. Easily overlooked.

Showed virtually nil in her first five runs but dropped into claiming company over this trip at Windsor (soft) three weeks ago, she showed much more, finishing third beaten 7L. Can be a given a squeak if building on that.

Necoleta10
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-3| J: L P Keniry| T: S Kirk| OR:  53
11/4
Steadily progressive in low-grade affairs and prevailed by a neck in a similar race to this at Kempton (1m, Polytrack) last time. That is the best recent form on offer here and having been placed over this trip previously, holds strong claims.

Hasn't been in any form since winning at Windsor in July, not getting involved in any of his last four runs. Finished 12L behind Necoleta at Kempton last time and no obvious reason why that form should be reversed here.

Showed little in maiden/novice company and although she made late gains on handicap debut at Chepstow (1m4f, good), it wasn't any great shakes and still makes her hard to recommend in this line-up.

Had a good spell form during the Summer, including being placed second three times, two of which were over C&D. Form has tailed off on his last couple of runs, however, and a wide draw here does him no favours.

Dee Dee Dottiep110
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: Kevin Lundie(5)| T: D M Loughnane| OR:  39

Tailed off in novice company for previous yard but shaped better behind Necoleta at Kempton (1m, Polytrack) last time. She was badly impeded two furlongs out but kept on and whilst she'll struggle to reverse form, she may get closer this time.

Dolly McQueen41
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: Hollie Doyle| T: A Carson| OR:  46

Posted two of her better efforts the last twice, finishing fourth over C&D before beaten 2L into second at Bath (1m2f, firm) six weeks ago. Shown more than many in this line-up and is one for the shortlist.

Beat just one rival in her first three starts and that didn't improve when switched to a handicap over C&D 18 days ago, finishing twelfth of thirteen. Likely to struggle again.

Returning from nearly 12 months off the track when finishing a well beaten tenth on handicap debut over 7½f at Ffos Las (good) last month. Visor tried for the first time stepping up in trip.

Well beaten in all three novice events so far at Newmarket (7f), Chepstow and Salisbury (both 1m2f). Should find this company easier but still hasn't shown enough to warrant serious consideration after 163 day absence.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: Josephine Gordon| T: S L Keightley| OR:  48

Ran a career best when second at Kempton (1m4f, Polytrack) three runs ago but has reverted to type with moderate runs in defeat since. Hopes rest on the replacing of cheekpieces with a visor.

Forecasts

Necoleta (11/4), Dyagilev (6/1), Waterproof (6/1), Chakrii (8/1), Dolly McQueen (8/1), Capricorn Prince (9/1), Sunshine Coast (12/1), Bader (12/1), Born To Reason (14/1), Tops No (16/1), Vakilita (20/1), Gladden (33/1), Skating Away (33/1), Indian Sea (40/1), Dee Dee Dottie (50/1), Piccolo Ramoscello (66/1)

Verdict

A moderate affair to end of the card with very little substative form to go on. Therefore, it's not to difficult to see why NECOLETA will take plenty of beating after being steadily progressive and winning at Kempton recently. Although she was 10½ behind the selection last time, Dee Dee Dottie shaped much better on her stable debut and would have been closer if getting a clear run whilst Dolly McQueen has ran well on her last two starts, including over C&D.
  1. Necoleta
  2. Dee Dee Dottie
  3. Dolly McQueen
