Well tried at Goodwood before returning to winning ways on the AW last start. Unraced on testing ground but returns to handicaps on an attractive mark. Leading contender if handling the conditions.
Didn't look at home on an AW surface last time and better judged on a good third at Newbury previously. Makes his handicap debut on a fair opening mark and a leading hope providing he acts on this testing surface.
Pitched in at the deep end at the Curragh latest but his previous effort also failed to live up to his encouraging debut over this C&D. Meets a very different surface on handicap debut and a bit more needed.
Five-race maiden has posted a couple of solid efforts over this C&D without improving on a good third in a Nottingham maiden. Place possibilities although others may be more progressive.
Progressed in each of his early efforts before disappointing over this C&D. Best effort came on soft ground despite early interference and he may have more to offer on this surface. First time visor added.
Dark Angel colt has mixed form in three starts to date. Makes handicap debut and needs to return to and improve on the promise of his second start at Chester.
Regressive efforts in last three of five starts overall. Finished tailed off on handicap debut following a gelding operation and best watched for now.
Some promise at Haydock on his second start suggested that give underfoot may be his preference. Disappointing since and while he needs to improve, he's worth keeping an eye on in the betting.
Five-race maiden has not been disgraced in two handicap starts to date without showing improvement. His Goodwood fifth would suggest he's on a potentially decent mark so no surprise to see him go well. Cheekpieces added.
Rattled off a hat-trick of wins at a lower level with two selling wins followed by a claiming success. Yard in form at present but this requires a fair bit more and conditions an unknown.
Five-race maiden hasn't been far away in both handicap starts to date. This rates as tougher so a bit extra needed for the addition of a first time visor but can't be dismissed.
Forecasts
Order Of St John (4/1), Roman Melody (11/2), Little Brown Trout (6/1), Bowling Russian (7/1), Seven Emirates (7/1), Global Agreement (8/1), Dragon Command (8/1), Asstech (16/1), Queens Blade (18/1), Tyler Durden (22/1), Littleton Hall (66/1)
With no runner proven in such testing conditions there is an obvious query but it's worth taking a chance that the well handicapped DRAGON COMMAND can build on a run of two wins from his last four starts. Roman Melody rates the main danger on handicap debut and has been given a good mark by the handicapper. Bowling Russian is back over what appears to be his optimum trip and is proving consistent.
- Dragon Command
- Roman Melody
- Bowling Russian
