Both her career wins have come over C&D, the latest in August. Ran fair race on return visit when fourth under 6lb penalty. Eased now 2lb and good apprentice claims 3lb so adds up to her having a solid chance overall.
Showed little for Mark Tompkins in seven starts but won on third attempt for current yard when landing 6f heavy ground Hamilton handicap last time. 3lb higher and drops back in trip but should go well again.
Only win in 19 attempts came at Catterick in July over 6f off 3lb lower. Gone close at Thirsk and Ayr since then and may not be far away once again in an open affair.
Won twice last term over C&D. Has had three runs since wind surgery this summer with mixed results. Dropped total of 6lb since op so given a chance at a venue that suits him well.
11-time winner in honourable career but has been struggling for form on most starts this year. Not shown enough last three runs to suggest he's going to bounce back despite falling mark.
First-time blinkers applied. Fair form at two, winning 6f event at Thirsk but has lost her way this term. Ran poorly in hood latest and now blinkered first-time. Has plenty to prove.
In the doldrums for ages prior to back-to-back wins at Catterick in August before running badly when last of 10 there when bidding for hat-trick. Given time to recover but is 5lb higher than latter of those two wins so needs to raise her game.
Only win came over C&D in August last year off 7lb higher mark. Second here off 4lb higher mark in August and has placed twice since at Hamilton. Should be thereabouts once again.
Broke longish losing run when scoring at Hamilton penultimate start. May have found heavy ground too much for her last time under 6lb penalty and runs off 2lb lower now on a better surface. Likely to be on the premises.
Placed just three times from 23 starts and yet to get her head in front. Two of those places have been over C&D this season thoguh so despite being slighlty wrong at the weights may appeal to some each-way punters.
Landed Wolverhampton AW 6f handicap last summer. Went close at Chelmsford in March and has shown flashes of form here and there this summer. Overall profile suggests the first-time visor is going to have to make a big difference for her to win.

Quanah (5/2), Burmese Blazer (5/1), Mr Greenlight (15/2), Pavers Pride (15/2), Popping Corks (9/1), Northern Society (12/1), Night Law (14/1), Corton Lass (16/1), Spenny's Lass (16/1), Classic Pursuit (25/1), Beechwood Izzy (25/1), Celerity (25/1)
It's probably best to concentrate on those towards the top of the handicap, and QUANAH just gets the nod having appeared to turn over a new leaf when winning last time at Hamilton. Northern Society should give the selection plenty to think about, and Mr Greenlight is also respected. Of the rest, Popping Corks and Burmese Blazer make most appeal.
- Quanah
- Northern Society
- Burmese Blazer
