Class 4  |   1m 142y  |   Standard  |   13 Runners  |   Allweather
Off time: 18:57  |   Winning time: 1m 47.39s
Weighed In
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-10  |  J: Rossa Ryan |  T: David Loughnane|  OR: 80|  C

Twice a winner over 7f in January when trained by Karl Burke, well held in a couple of recent runs here over that trip since changing yard, up in distance and back on previous win-mark but needs to show more and untested beyond 1m. Blinkers added.

Age: 4|  Weight: 9-10  |  J: Hollie Doyle |  T: E A L Dunlop|  OR: 80|  CD

C&D winner in April after a short break, mixed back of efforts since on turf/AW. Remains 4lb above win-mark and needs first-time visor to assist.

Age: 6|  Weight: 9-10  |  J: Callum Shepherd |  T: W J Knight|  OR: 80|  D

Down to workable mark and duly landed Class 5 contests at Windsor and Epsom over slightly shorter trip in last two starts. 3lb rise back on the AW, more demanded in stronger company.

Age: 8|  Weight: 9-9  |  J: N Mackay |  T: M Wigham|  OR: 79|  C

Completed a four-timer at Lingfield in spring of 2017 but without a victory since. Handicap mark plummeting but was beaten 10L in a claimer over extended-mile here in March. Probably best watched on return.

Age: 5|  Weight: 9-9  |  J: David Probert |  T: P R Chamings|  OR: 79

Had a lot of success earlier in his career. Finished second at Goodwood in October 2018 in one of a number of near misses over the last couple of years. Was fourth of eight last time at Epsom (7f). Capable off this mark.

Age: 4|  Weight: 9-8  |  J: Thomas Greatrex |  T: David Loughnane|  OR: 78|  CD

C&D winner in this grade in August, well held in two runs since but possibilities back here despite still being 3lb above that win-mark.

Age: 5|  Weight: 9-6  |  J: Rob Hornby |  T: Mrs P Sly|  OR: 76|  CD

Career-best when winning over a mile at Chelmsford last month, just 2lb higher now and considered, though she's not certain to be crying out for the extra distance here.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-5  |  J: Angus Villiers |  T: R Hughes|  OR: 79

Good effort to win over a mile at Lingfield last time out, 4lb rise is negated (and more) by rider's claim this evening and she has to go on the shortlist as such with trainer/jockey in form.

Age: 6|  Weight: 9-5  |  J: Nathan Evans |  T: T D Easterby|  OR: 75

Only win since 2016 came at Doncaster on soft ground earlier this year. Can go well when he gets a decent pace to aim. 4lb above win-mark but hasn't had many tries on the AW and one to pay attention to.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-5  |  J: Dane O'Neill |  T: Sir Michael Stoute|  OR: 79

Eight-race maiden, Cape Cross colt has shown promise on occasion and is in excellent hands. Will be in the mix here should he put his best foot forward.

Age: 5|  Weight: 9-3  |  J: Barry McHugh |  T: Miss J A Camacho|  OR: 73

All three career wins have over 7f at Newcastle, latest in February off a mark of 65. Capable from this perch, if stamina doesn't become a concern late on.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2  |  J: Cieren Fallon |  T: M Botti|  OR: 76

Poet's Voice colt, a maiden after nine starts but close second behind Pytilia over a mile at Lingfield latest under this excellent claimer and should be in the mix once again with extra distance favourable.

Age: 4|  Weight: 9-2  |  J: S De Sousa |  T: Tom Dascombe|  OR: 72

Dual winner, including over an extended 7f at Chester (good) last July. Two poor runs for this trainer at that track and on AW at Kempton in May/June having undergone wind operation. Dropped 4lb in ratings now, if able to take advantage after break.

Alhaazm (4/1), Kaser (11/2), Pytilia (11/2), Global Art (13/2), Dourado (7/1), Fares Poet (17/2), Kingston Kurrajong (12/1), Zafaranah (16/1), Storm Ahead (18/1), Chai Chai (33/1), Chosen World (40/1), My Target (66/1), Made Of Honour (66/1)

Three last-time-out winners all with valid claims but perhaps none better than PYTILIA, who produced a career-best last time at Lingfield and gets the chance to back it up with her penalty offset by the presence of excellent claimer Angus Villiers. Zafaranah also produced a standout last time, though she isn't a cert to relish the extra distance now ensuring the hat-trick seeking Kingston Kurrajong is preferred despite a rise in grade after a couple of turf wins. Storm Ahead is also worth a look while Fares Poet wasn't beaten far behind the selection last time out.
  1. Pytilia
  2. Kingston Kurrajong
  3. Fares Poet
