Win record of 1-23; was with Lawrence Mullaney when beaten by a rallying nose over C&D in April; joined Karen McLintock for £12,000 in May, and simply bumped into a very well-handicapped rival at Musselburgh (2m); a major player.
Won over C&D (6-4f) for Andrew Balding in August 2018; poor since joining John Jenkins for 18,000gns in November 2018; returns from a spell over hurdles wearing blinkers.
Made a promising start for Rebecca Menzies at Wetherby in May; no real progress since on the Flat, over hurdles or on the Fibresand at Southwell; shouldn't trouble Urban Spirit on the basis of July Musselburgh form.
No win since 2017 (when trained by Julia Fielden); beaten miles when placed in a 3m novices' handicap hurdle here in April, and that was by far the best of her six starts over hurdles; returns from a 153-day absence.
Maiden (0-10) who represents an in-form trainer; has finished runner-up on both Flat starts since reverting from hurdles - was beaten 5L by the subsequent Chester scorer Well Funded at Carlisle (1m6f, good to soft).
Nathaniel filly (30,000gns yearling); went mighty close in defeat to Myklachi on handicap debut over C&D in August; weakened tamely when dropped back in trip (to 1m4f+) here subsequently; a possible place contender.
Winning hurdler (Perth); still seeking his first success on the Flat (0-19), arriving off the back of a recent run at Dundalk; competes off the same mark as when beaten 2¾L (second) by Clearance at Ayr (1m7f, heavy) in August.
Sole win on the AW (Wolverhampton); fair third (beaten just over 2L) at odds of 20-1 over C&D in July; raced keenly before weakening (last of 11) on her most recent appearance at Chepstow; others make more appeal.
Shown mainly poor form for both Eric Alston (0-6) and Stella Barclay (0-3); needs the first time cheekpieces to work the oracle in order to have a major say; an unlikely candidate.
Runner-up to the progressive Trouble Shooter (won here on Wednesday) at Chepstow (1m4f, good) on her penultimate start; no obvious excuses at Wolverhampton; this six-race maiden is Tom George's first ever Flat runner at Newcastle (10-38; 26% jumps).
Little worthwhile form; tailed off on return to action at Kempton (2m) 18 days ago; cheekpieces now applied.
Lowly-rated maiden (0-4); finished tailed off in a Wolverhampton maiden (1m4f) last month; was declared to race at the abandoned Catterick fixture on Tuesday; is very hard to fancy.

Local trainer Karen McLintock has identified the Born To Sea gelding URBAN SPIRIT as a Tapeta proven individual and she should have plenty of fun with this five-year-old in Class 5 & 6 staying handicaps at Newcastle this autumn/winter. With viable opposition appearing rather limited, a simple repeat of his latest Musselburgh second to the very well-handicapped Lever Du Soleil should see him improve his overall career statistics to a much more respectable 2-24. Horses worthy of consideration for the minor honours include Put The Law On You (stable in-form), Nataleena and Oromo.
- Urban Spirit
- Nataleena
- Oromo
