Has won three times over this distance this year, with his latest victory coming at Haydock back on his penultimate outing. He was unable to follow up last time as he was at the rear of an eight runner field at Haydock (5f). Needs to bounce back.
A six-time winner on turf. Has only had the one run on the AW so far and that was early on in his career. He was beaten by just ¾L on his latest start at Catterick (5f) when he was fourth of nine. Down 1lb. One for the shortlist off this mark.
Has had just the three appearances so far. He showed some promise on his debut at Southwell (5f) on the AW where he was third of eight. Set for his handicap debut here so keep an eye out for any strong market support.
His sole win came on his debut at Musselburgh (5f). Has been a long way down the field on his two runs this year, including latest when he was last of 17 runners at the Curragh (5f). Set for his first run for his new yard here. Others are preferred.
Has been successful twice in his last three starts, including at this course over 6f. He failed on his hat-trick bid here over 7f last time when he was ninth of 13. Down to the minimum trip now. Leading contender.
Is still a maiden after nine starts but he went really close over this C&D on his latest start as he was second of 13, beaten by a neck. Has gone up just 2lb in the weights. Has a good chance of his opening success here.
Prevailed at Musselburgh (5f) three runs ago for her second win of her career. She has run modestly well on her last two appearances. Her latest effort came at Redcar (5f) where she was fifth of 12. Has each-way claims here.
His last win came at Ayr over this distance back in June. He was not far away last time on his return to the AW at Kempton (6f) where he was fifth of 11. Is now 4lb below his last winning mark. Can't be discounted.
Broke his maiden at Catterick (5f) four runs ago in a 15 runner field. Could only finish eighth of 13 over this C&D last time. He has run well at this course before. Has been eased 2lb in the weights. In with an each-way chance.
Scored for the first time over this C&D last time out where he ran on well inside the closing stages to get up by a neck. Has gone up 3lb in the weights but that is offset by his claimer being on board. Big chance of following up.
Has shown very little on her five runs to date. Her form has yet to improve since joining handicap company. She was seventh of 10 last time at Hamilton (6f). Drops down 5lb in the weights. Has a tongue-tie on for the first time. Needs to improve.
Remains a maiden after eight appearances. She has gone close before over this C&D on two occasions. Has been disappointing on her last two outings though, including when she was last of seven over this C&D last time. Others appeal more.
A C&D winner who is on a long losing sequence which goes back to January 2018. Was eighth of 14 last time at Musselburgh (5f). Returns to the AW where all three of his wins have come on. Hard to fancy on recent form.
Still a maiden after 14 attempts. Has been well beaten on all five of her runs this year. She was 12th of 14 at Musselburgh (5f) last month. Remains off the same mark so she needs to take a huge stride in the right direction.
Forecasts
Swiss Connection (11/4), Gleaming Arch (6/1), Fard (6/1), Lord Of The Glen (17/2), Shepherd's Purse (10/1), Spirit Power (10/1), Excellently Poised (14/1), The Grey Zebedee (20/1), Longroom (22/1), Northern Society (22/1), Inner Charm (25/1), Gupta (28/1), Willow Brook (80/1), Kyroc (200/1)
FARD has had a lot of success sprinting this year. The trip was too far for him last time so take him to return to winnings ways here as he drops down to the minimum distance . Swiss Connection was denied by just a neck on his latest appearance over this C&D and should go close again here despite his 2lb rise in the weights, while Longroom is capable off this mark so take him to fill the placings.
- Fard
- Swiss Connection
- Longroom
