Won an AW claimer at Deauville in August, but not at the same level in two subsequent starts on turf. Rated 2lb below previous win-mark and could bounce back in first-time cheekpieces.

Filly gained sole success from 10 starts at Windsor (1m, good) in September last year from this mark. Looked to need run at Sandown (1m2f) last month after 353-day absence. May do more here with drop in trip favourable.

Lightly-raced son of Acclamation, much better showing in 1m Windsor handicap in August on first run after being gelded, denied just a neck in second. Blinkers added for AW bow and shortlisted after the improved run.

Narrow winner of Class 6 event over C&D in July, has run well both starts since at Kempton and back here over 1m2f. Perfectly entitled to be in the shake-up again down in trip.

Showed some promise as a novice but yet to really improve in couple of starts in handicaps; last of eight at Salisbury (1m, good) 41 days ago. Return to artificial surface should help.

Mochalov22

Mostly in good form this summer, winning here over 7f in August and running well in third since at Kempton from this mark. Steps up in trip and can give another solid account of himself.

Forecasts

Bobby Biscuit (9/4), Kendergarten Kop (4/1), Recondite (6/1), Plunger (13/2), Delicate Kiss (8/1), Mochalov (10/1), Forseti (12/1), Baashiq (14/1), Juanito Chico (25/1), Deference (33/1), Rollicking (33/1)

Verdict

Kendergarten Kop is the benchmark and is proving a consistent performer recently, he's likely to go well with cheekpieces back on now. Dual C&D winner Delicate Kiss also holds sound claims while either of Plunger and recent Brighton scorer Baashiq could go well. RECONDITE though comes here off an improved effort at Windsor on first run after being gelded. Blinkers are tried and if he improves for meeting an artificial surface he will be tough to beat.
  1. Recondite
  2. Kendergarten Kop
  3. Delicate Kiss
