Dubai Elegance^p⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 9-3| J: Noel Garbutt⁽³⁾| T: D Shaw| OR: 56| D

14/1

Victorious on good-to-soft ground over 6f at Doncaster early last month and put in a couple of fair efforts in defeat subsequently. Beaten 3½L when fourth at Yarmouth (6f, good-to-firm) last time out and is worth a check in the market.

Form: 624154

(3)

Moonlit Sands^p,t¹¹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-3| J: B A Curtis| T: B Ellison| OR: 56

8/1

Put a disappointing effort behind her when finishing 2½L fifth in a 7f handicap at Musselburgh (good-to-firm) last time out. Interesting runner dropping back in distance.

Form: 791605

Quanah³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Phil Dennis| T: L Bailey| OR: 57

16/1

Debuted for this yard when finishing fourth in a soft ground 5f handicap at Hamilton at the weekend. Races off the same mark here and this step back up in distance looks likely to suit.

Form: 0-94084

Age: 6| Weight: 9-1| J: Lewis Edmunds| T: R M Whitaker| OR: 54| BF| D

3/1

Improved on Carlisle third when winning at Pontefract (6f, good-to-firm) eight days later. Escapes a penalty for that victory and holds strong claims racing off a mark 2lb lower than for that Pontefract success.

Form: 885531

16/1

16 race maiden performed well when finishing 1L second in a C&D handicap on good-to-firm ground a month ago. Races off a 2lb higher mark here and is of interest in this contest.

Form: 439032

11/1

Some decent efforts in defeat since winning at Ripon (6f, good-to-soft) in June but finished well beaten in a selling handicap at Thirsk (6f, good-to-firm) last time out and others make more appeal.

Form: 188540

(8)

Grimsdyke⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 8-10| J: D Allan| T: T D Easterby| OR: 51| CD

11/4

Successful on good ground over C&D in July and placed at Thirsk (6f, soft) next time out. Struggled on two most recent starts however and others hold stronger claims.

Decent effort in finishing 2½L third in a 6f handicap at Catterick (soft) on his penultimate start. Held sixth over the same C&D subsequently however and would appreciate any overnight rain.

ROUND THE ISLAND was a winner last time out and he can follow up that victory with a success in the first division of this sprint handicap. The selection can get the better of top weight Shortbackandsides who is another to have won last time out while third place can go to the maiden Tizwotitiz who ran well over C&D a month ago.
