Back from a short break to make winning stable bow this month at Wolverhampton (1m½f) in apprentice contest. Travelled well, 5lb higher mark to defy now.
Twice a winner last year, including when decisively scoring over 7f around here in November from 2lb higher mark. Not really threatening this year, first-time visor is tried here.
2-35 career record tells a tale, with most recent win in April 2018; some 21 starts ago. Did go very close over C&D in January from 9lb higher, tries new headgear now and has been in fair form on turf; possible.
Most recent success was over C&D last November on debut for this yard, also went close here in March but has a string of poor runs since and hard to recommend.
Dual C&D winner in the spring (2-13 record now), but has turned in a quartet of really poor performances over the summer and looks to be up against it.
Not achieved a lot in three turf novice runs over similar trips. Makes AW/handicap bow for a yard in good recent form however and demands at least a check in betting.
Mukhadram filly, rewarded for consistency when staying on well to score over C&D a fortnight ago. She's up 3lb for that ½L success, but does get Cieren Fallon steering this time.
Filly is quickly sliding down the weights, she made the frame in first-time cheekpieces at Lingfield last time over this trip and could have similar prospects raised 1lb here.
Acclamation gelding, well fended off in 6f/7f handicaps here so far, needs to improve on form shown in five runs so far.
Veteran with nine wins in 114 starts, including over C&D in 2016. Most recent win was over 6f here in April, hasn't come close since but mark heading back towards basement level.
Four-race maiden, hasn't shown enough to be of interest on handicap debut but clearly has plenty of time on his side to improve.
Archipenko mare won a 7f Lingfield AW handicap in 2017 on fourth start, but is now 1-35 and has rarely looked like adding to tally despite plummeting down the ratings.
Daughter of Pour Moi, won over 7f at Yarmouth last summer but has failed to convince in 10 previous starts on artificial surfaces. Has plenty work to do.
Eight-year-old gelding whose two career wins from 52 runs have both come over C&D, more than two years apart. Last won in February 2018 and struggled in six C&D outings this year.
0-17 maiden, was runner-up over C&D in the spring but hasn't convinced with his efforts since that a breakthrough is imminent. Out of the handicap here.

Having made a winning start for new connections at Wolverhampton 12 days ago PACT OF STEEL is worth chancing up 5lb. He travelled well into that race and the outcome was never in doubt once he took things up on the home bend. William Carver can claim his full 5lb allowance here and the partnership should go well again. C&D winner Parknacilla is respected too while London Pride is in decent form and Accomplice is on a workable mark based on a near miss here earlier in the year.
