On his fourth trainer already (this will be his ninth start) and in truth, has shown very little, including on first start for this yard at Chepstow last time. Hard to make much of a case for at present.
Was last seen winning back-to-back handicaps over this C&D but that was back in 2017 and they were on ground much softer than he will encounter today. Likely to need the run and only of interest if there's support.
Winner over 2m here on the all-weather back in January, so stays the trip fine, but came back from an absence to run moderately at Redcar earlier in the month. May need another run or two to achieve peak fitness.
Beaten out of sight at Nottingham earlier in the month, a very poor effort, and although better ground here may suit, there's no way he can be backed with confidence after such a moderate effort as that.
Needs every yard of this 2m and can't have the ground quick enough, but in good form (in the frame last three starts), handles this track well and the quicker they go, the better his chance. Looks a big player today.
Looks on a fair mark based on his jumping exploits and has twice hit the frame in that sphere in the summer. Finished lame at Worcester last time out so that run forgiven, and in a moderate event, has a chance if handling likely quick ground.
Some signs on his last two runs that a comeback might be on, not beaten far at Nottingham in July and he looks a thorough stayer that will appreciate this trip. On a very fair mark and in a moderate event, looks one of the more likely ones.
Won a match back in March, inconsistent efforts since then and in truth is a bit one-paced but does at least have his ideal conditions today and if on a going day, has place chances.
Hard to win with sort, as a record of just one win in 33 starts shows, and connections now hoping that a step up in trip can see her double his tally. Looks unlikely, and others readily make more appeal.
Got going far too late over C&D last time out, finishing fifth, and that came after a better effort here over 14f in May. Seems to have found a bit of form and if starting his finishing effort earlier, might get in the shake-up.
Hard to find many positives from his four starts so far and he finished last of twelve on his handicap debut here in May. Tough to make any sort of a case for.
No win in 13 starts and is going nowhere quickly at present, well beaten at Chepstow last week over 18f. Makes very little appeal here.

Forecasts
Lazarus (7/2), Danglydontask (7/2), Casa Comigo (5/1), War Drums (7/1), Hiorne Tower (8/1), Essgee Nics (10/1), Joycetick (10/1), Sea's Aria (14/1), Seventii (16/1), Ormskirk (16/1), Everlasting Sea (20/1), Ginger Lacey (25/1), Duration (25/1)
Hard to make compelling cases for many of these. Danglydontask stays every yard of this trip and will be staying on when others have had enough. He looks sure to be there at the business end. Ormskirk will think he's been let loose in a field having humped bigger weights around in hurdles, and he holds each-way chances, as does Lazarus who has show some signs of life in recent starts. But a chance is taken on ESSGEE NICS, who remains fairly unexposed and rattled home when it was all over here last time out. If making a move sooner, he might be able to outstay these.
- Essgee Nics
- Danglydontask
- Lazarus
