Second start of three can be excused due to heavy ground and he was back to the level of his debut when fifth at Ayr last month. Gelding operation and the extra test of stamina pluses on handicap debut.. Stable in good form.
Never progressed form his debut and left Jamie Osborne after finishing second in a Leicester seller. Third on debut for new stable this month in a decent contest and on a good mark in this company. Stable among the winners of late.
Has struggled to make an impression in five starts to date, including in two handicaps. Races off same mark and with a strong stable, however this requires more.
Best effort came with juice in the ground on handicap debut at Catterick. Below that when pulling hard and not seeing out the mile on the AW at Chelmsford. Needs to prove these conditions suit.
Five-race maiden has raced in stronger company in two handicap starts, with a career best third of four on quick ground at Catterick and then less suited by softer ground at the same track over 7f. Down another 1lb and looks attractively weighted.
Over 2L behind Rusalka on handicap debut at Catterick, gelded since and now meets quicker ground for the first time. Could improve for it but more needed in unknown conditions.
Struggled to make an impression in three progressively tougher races to date. Makes handicap debut up a furlong and would need to find plenty of progress off this opening mark.
Forecasts
Spanish Time (3/1), Out Of Breath (10/3), Percy Green (9/2), Rusalka (6/1), Interrupted Dream (6/1), Never Said Nothing (10/1), Baileys Prayer (10/1)
RUSALKA needs to brush up her game at the start but on quicker ground she has plenty of more to offer at this distance and rates as the best handicapped runner. Spanish Time is bred to be suited by this extra test of stamina on handicap debut and following a gelding operation could well find the necessary progress to be a danger. Out Of Breath was a modest third last time but it came in a good handicap and with quicker ground suiting, should be involved.
