Best effort in eight starts so far when close second at Sandown (1m, good; 15-2) last time out, just giving best late on having raced prominently. Eased in class here and big player on that evidence.
Has failed to build upon his two-year-old campaign so is still looking for his first win of his career. Well behind Sussex Solo in fifth over C&D last month, plenty more needed.
Oasis Dream colt still low mileage but needing to raise game dramatically. Beat only one home at Chepstow (7f, good to firm; 11-1) recently. Blinkers are tried here.
Won Leicester 6f seller on racecourse bow in June at odds of 20-1, though since been well held twice in better company. Reverts to handicaps needing to improve again.
Filly shaped better on reappearance over C&D against her own sex recently, sporting a first-time hood (retained). That was her first start for this trainer but more will be demanded this evening.
Swiss Spirit filly, well beaten in all starts this term over further. Has left Alan King and starts out for new trainer with modest expectations.
Nine-race maiden, beaten wide margins in all four starts this summer; including on reappearance over C&D in June. Hard to make a case for.
Showed first real sign ability when making all to land a weak affair over C&D on soft ground a fortnight ago. Up 4lb and in a stronger race, could be vulnerable having had his own way in front last time.
Bath winner over a mile in May, his sole win in eight starts, though has been competitive in AW runs at this track and Chelmsford most recently.
Shamardal filly has shown very little in four runs so far over trips ranging from 7f/1m3½f. Drops right back in distance but hard to recommend.
Has shown some promise on a couple of occasions this season as she searches for her first win. Best of those came over 5½f at Bath with some cut in the ground. More required.

Sussex Solo got his own way in front when scoring over C&D a fortnight ago. That was not a strong contest and while this is not much tougher, his rivals are unlikely to afford him the same rope from his 4lb higher mark. Abuja shaped well against fillies on first run for this handler and may build on that but a drop in class might prove the making of CLASSIC STAR. Sophie Ralston's mount should benefit from the pace injected by Sussex Solo early on and can come late to snare the prize.
