Landed a valuable pot over C&D in May. Not in the same form the last twice but hopes rest on a return to this track sparking a revival.
Has been a real money spinner for his yard and gained third win from last four runs at Ripon last time with a game win. The negative is all his wins have been on AW or a sound surface so could do with ground drying out.
A pair of wins at this trip in May but they were both gained on fast ground and hasn't been on easy ground since racecourse debut so needs to prove it suits.
Last two runs can be forgiven as 1m2f is not his trip but although this trip will help his overall form leaves him with a bit to find.
Ground to suit and showed good attitude to win over 1m2f when last seen in April. Does go well fresh so absence not a concern and plenty of form at this shorter trip.
Good third at Newbury on comeback run and has had very stiff in top notch handicaps last two runs. This drop into an easier grade in his favour and has to be on the short list.
1m2f experiment didn't work last time at Nottingham but now returns to his optimum trip and with ground in his favour is not without a chance.
Landed this a year ago from double figure draw and only 2lb higher today. Right back to best on latest in race which has worked out really well (winner won Listed race since) and has to be taken very seriously in follow up bid.
AW debut win and found the drop down to 6f against him last time. Now handicapping back at more suitable trip though opening mark doesn't look too lenient.
Impressive turn of foot at Ascot to make it two wins from last three runs since stepping up to 1m. 4lb rise underplays his superiority for that win and although this a tougher task, he needs to be taken seriously.
Rattled off a four-timer at Beverley after joining this yard and although still in decent form has found this higher mark just beyond her and yet to win away from that venue.
Too keen on only previous go at this trip but has improved since then and with the likely decent pace to help him settle is well worth another go at this distance.
Hacked up at Beverley four runs ago but that was a 0-75 contest and has struggled off this higher mark in hotter company since and passed over today.
Scraped home on Redcar comeback but badly out of sorts since and readily passed over in a hot contest against rivals who come here in better heart.
Didn't get the breaks when strong finishing second in valuable claiming handicap at Pontefract but losing run now dates back to 2017 and will need things to fall his way to take this.

Star Shield (4/1), Tulfarris (4/1), Mikmak (9/2), Irreverent (7/1), Lamloom (7/1), Calvados Spirit (12/1), Kripke (16/1), Universal Gleam (16/1), Alexander James (16/1), Hayadh (16/1), Kylie Rules (20/1), Lord Of The Rock (20/1), Alfred Richardson (20/1), Brother McGonagall (25/1), Fennaan (25/1), Give It Some Teddy (25/1)
A really strong renewal and MIKMAK is taken to follow up his win in this a year ago having put in a cracking run last time in a race which has worked out so well. Plenty of dangers and Star Shield, who has blossomed at this trip, looks a big threat with Lamloom just one of several others to have claims.
- Mikmak
- Star Shield
