Looked to be crying out for even further when upped to 1m4f for the first time in a running on fifth. Only fourth as 1/2F at Wolverhampton next over 2m but perhaps this will be the distance he favours so given another chance now.

Jury still out on her suitability for this sort of trip after weakening over 1m6½f penultimately and she really struggled over 1m6f at Wolverhampton latest. Others preferred.

Step up to this trip latest saw him find a chunk of improvement as he ran on into a never nearer fourth of 12 at Wolverhampton where he belied his 40/1 odds. Better chance still here and respected now.

Struggled in three start for this yard going up 2f each time and after latest seventh of 12 over 1m4f at Epsom she is worth a try over this trip. More needed overall.

Not really seen enough in four career starts and was beaten 18L into eighth of 14 on C&D handicap debut latest.

1m2f Nottingham winner looked worth a go over this trip latest when keeping on well enough over 1m4f at Epsom. Will probably have to improve for this longer trip.

Won in the manner of a real stayer when powering home at Lingfield over 1m3½f on soft ground latest so is a very interesting proposition upped to 1m6f now and handicap rise may be offset by expected improvement for extra 2½f.

No improvement for switch to handicaps the last twice over both 1m3½f and 1m6f so is hard to fancy overall although perhaps a first-time visor will help.

1m4f winner at Lingfield in June kept on well for third over the same trip at Epsom in the manner of a horse very much ready to appreciate an extra 2f. Has genuine potential here.

Heavy ground 1m2f winner at Yarmouth penultimately seemed to stay this trip latest when fifth of 12 at Wolverhampton but that effort must be improved upon here.

Oasis Dream filly who has shown very little of note in five starts so far and must improve AW for the first time can bring about improvement after a desperate effort at Ripon latest. Little appeal overall.

Has not looked like scoring in seven starts so far, six of which have come on the AW surface. Was last of six last time at Windsor (1m2f). First attempt at this trip. Very difficult to make a case for here.

Yet to finish in the first nine in six career starts so makes no appeal here.

Forecasts

Mon Frere (5/2), Celtic Classic (9/2), Ignatius (5/1), Trouble Shooter (6/1), Antidote (8/1), Highway Robbery (8/1), Dinah Washington (12/1), Kalaya (16/1), Spirit Of Nicobar (20/1), Loving Pearl (25/1), Kostantina (33/1), Cala Sveva (66/1), Supreme Chance (66/1)

Verdict

Although a disappointment latest MON FRERE for the white-hot Sir Mark Prescott is given another chance with perhaps 2m proving just too far. Celtic Classic looked likely to revel in this extra distance latest when successful at Lingfield and he rates a danger as does Highway Robbery who also looks ready to try 1m6f for the first time.
  1. Mon Frere
  2. Celtic Classic
  3. Highway Robbery
