Has won for today's jockey and responded well for his urging to be placed in two of her last three starts. Been dropped 3lb after a poor run Bath last month and has a reasonable chance on these terms. Needs to better last time by a good way though.

Well handicapped on past form and has been relatively consistent even though she's raced almost exclusively at Bath this season. Her yard won this in 2015 and the betting can shed light on where she stands with Thegreyvtrain, her stable companion.

Hat-trick bid halted when she was third at Bath last time out (just ahead of stablemate Powerful Dream) but won her two previous starts in good style. Dangerous if allowed a soft lead but there's a suspicion the handicapper has her measure.

Run into form this season and won her last two starts in a gritty manner. Should get the strong pace she needs and still well handicapped despite a 4lb rise for winning at Chepstow 9 days ago. No reason why she shouldn't go well again.

Still a maiden and been expensive to follow. Best effort when second from a 5lb higher mark at Windsor in April but lost his way since. The ability is in there somewhere but he's not consented to deliver the last twice; one to be wary of just now.

Got off the mark at thirteenth time of asking when storming through with a late rattle to win over an extended 5f at Bath on Wednesday. That was his first run for this yard and, from the same mark, he should go well again here.

A veteran who still retains enthusiasm and has won from this lowly sort of rating before now. Ran well back on turf last time but consistency hasn't been a strong point this year.

Forecasts

Bay Watch (5/4), Aquadabra (7/2), Powerful Dream (6/1), Cobweb Catcher (7/1), Ghepardo (9/1), Thegreyvtrain (11/1), Pharoh Jake (33/1)

Verdict

The penny dropped with blistering effect for BAY WATCH at Bath on Wednesday and he should have the race run to suit once more if Thegreytrain runs her usual race form the front. The last named is a threat to the selection but she was held from this mark last time and the handicapper has seemingly got to grips with her. Ghepardo gets on well with Tom Marquand and can also do her bit to make this a stern test. Aquadabra also merits serious consideration if attracting any support.
  1. Bay Watch
  2. Thegreyvtrain
  3. Ghepardo
