Strong finishing second over 6f at Doncaster on reappearance on soft a race filled with promise but failed to back that effort up latest. Not entirely sure 5f is what he wants but bounce back is possible.

Won back-to-back sellers at Hamilton (5f) and Catterick (6f) before a good third back at Hamilton in a handicap last time. Gets 1lb back here and looks sure to make another bold bid.

Minor promise about his handicap bow when fifth at Brighton over 7f and did appear that he may appreciate a drop in trip which he gets today for new stable.

Beat Hard Solution in a Redcar maiden handicap in June before running really well in a stronger race at Hamilton latest when third of 11. Same terms with the aforementioned rival today and both should go very close.

Won first time out at Musselburgh but not really kicked on from that and well held by Hard Solution on their Hamilton meeting latest. Blinkers now tried.

Disappointed on last two turf starts but form of Dundalk AW fourth would give him every chance off this mark. This yard always respected here and with an excellent 5lb claimer up he could easily bounce back.

Favourite trip becoming a bit of a puzzle now because 5f usually looks inadequate yet she didn't seem to last 6f latest. Redcar win over this trip in May sound but yet to adapt to revised mark.

Ran her best race since winning on AW last year when a staying on second at Hamilton just last week in these retained cheekpieces. Repeat of that effort enough to see her go close again.

Beaten one rival in her three 2019 starts and even that in a tailed off 13th of 14 latest; readily passed over.

Forecasts

Hard Solution (7/2), Popping Corks (9/2), Dream House (9/2), Compton's Finale (6/1), Kaafy (6/1), Northern Society (17/2), Swinging Eddie (9/1), Frosted Lass (14/1), Jordan's Chris (50/1), Pritty Livvy (100/1), Little Thornton (100/1)

Verdict

In his penultimate start DREAM HOUSE narrowly denied Hard Solution at Redcar and both have done well since suggesting that form to be strong at this level. There was only a neck between them so off the same terms another good battle is likely but there is no obvious reason to expect reversal so Tim Easterby's charge gets the nod. Irish Raider Compton's Finale is respected despite being a long-standing maiden given his trainer's excellent record in Scotland.
