Failed to build upon promising Sandown (1m6f; good to soft) fourth when dropping back in trip at Epsom (1m4f; good) last time. Looked promising last season and is at least worth an each-way shout returned to 1m6f.
Yard in good form. Not completely disgraced at Newcastle (1m2f; standard to slow) last month. Two good placed runs before that. Bit to prove stepping back up in trip though.
Still fairly lightly raced. Couldn't follow up narrow-margin Newbury (1m4f; good) win when sixth of 10 at Thirsk (1m4f; good to soft) last time. 2lb lower now, and every chance if ground stays as it is.
Makes debut over this trip after a pair of Thirsk (1m4f; good/good to soft) victories this season. Up 4lb for the latest of those. Step up in trip could unlock further progress though so not ruled out.
Upped in trip/grade at Sandown (1m6f; good to firm) on seasonal reappearance last time when possibly in need of it. Had signed off 2018 on a positive note with a win at Pontefract (1m4f; good to soft). Every possibility he could resume progress.
Drops back in trip after weakening over 2m behind the progressive Carnwennan at Chelmsford (2m; standard). Shaped encouragingly on seasonal reappearance two starts back, when it looked as though this trip suited him. Interesting contender.
Dual-purpose performer. Never really involved at Ayr (1m5f; good to firm) at the start of the month. This is probably a more competitive affair and she is not one to be interested in when in such quiet form.
Now down to the mark he scored off when successful over this trip at Redcar (1m6f; good). Must step up by some way on what he has shown so far this season though. Finished last of 19 when last seen at York (1m4f; soft) last month.
Back on track with a sound enough runner-up effort behind Trailboss at Doncaster (1m4f; good) last month. Only 1lb above the mark he won off at around this time of year last season. Could be coming to the boil at just the right time.

This is a well-contested stayers handicap. After a below-par effort two starts back, The Resdev Way ran very well at York behind two classier sorts over slightly further than this last week and he should appreciate the drop in trip/grade. He should continue in his good vein of form, while Beer With The Boys should also show marked improvement upon his reappearance effort at Sandown last time which he may have needed. However, this can go to MATCHMAKING who has been held back from making his seasonal return until his stable were back to form. He has shown he goes well fresh and was on a steep upward curve last season before something was amiss on his final start of 2018.
