Verdict

A race which should produce a number of future winners so the soundest advice is to simply watch and learn. Newcomers of interest include the likes of Powertrain, Cheat, Redzone and Shoot To Kill. On the track to date, the William Haggas-trained St Ives has achieved most in finishing third to a subsequent winner at York (6f). However, the tentative punting advice is to side with the once-raced ONE STEP BEYOND. Richard Spencer's Exceed And Excel colt was as green as grass on debut at Windsor (fourth) but in steadily getting to grips with the task late in the piste he demonstrated that ability does lie within.
